    Regional Manager - Education

    What You Will Do

    • Lead in County engagements and facilitating contract signing with counties.
    • Lead in County contract renewal and payment follow up.
    • Facilitate communications between EIDU and the Counties including organising monthly County stakeholders meetings.
    • Recruit, train, and support EIDU Education Officers as well as conduct regular performance appraisals.
    • Oversee daily operations and ensure each EIDU Officer delivers on their partner mentorship and individual KPIs.
    • Supervise budget and optimization, prevent fraud and ensure financial discipline among EIDU Officers.
    • Guide EIDU Officers in developing a clear travel plan and workflow for each week.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to manage Master, TOT, Government Staff, and other County stakeholder trainings.
    • Accompany field teams and government officers in conducting school visits.
    • Use data from multiple sources, including your own field visits, quality assurance audits, and lead EIDU Officers to improve their oversight and mentoring for government officials and Teachers.
    • Provide EIDU Officers with day to day oversight, guidance and coaching. This includes facilitating regular touchpoints with EIDU Officers, reading and responding to reports submitted by the EIDU Officers, and providing feedback on their work.
    • Coach EIDU Officers in their use of data to provide data-driven oversight and guidance for government officials.
    • Provide EIDU Officers with all training necessary for their success, including their onboarding, professional development, and “train the trainer” sessions for content that EIDU Officers need to deliver to their government officials.
    • 100% field based job with occasional travel to the Nairobi support office.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    What You Should Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Management or a related field from accredited university and minimum of 7 years experience in the education field.
    • Minimum of 4 years of training experience and team management/leadership experience including direct supervision of field teams.
    • Prior experience within a fast-paced, high-growth, metric-driven operational organisation will be an advantage.
    • In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning and coaching).
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with government representatives, and other stakeholders, at County level.
    • ICT skills: G-suite, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, task and Issues management (e.g., Asana, CRM), Android Smartphones.
    • Ability to work in a start-up environment navigating complex and fast-changing circumstances.
    • Experience in mentorship and coaching of youth and adults.
    • Management of education based teams a plus.
    • Belief in data-driven decision making.
    • Collaborative leader with strong relationship building skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Strong communication skills.

    Deputy Head of Operations

    What You Will Do

    • Oversee the Field Operations team, Procurement and Quality Assurance. Make sure key operational KPIs are met during the implementation, activation and continuation of the EIDU program.
    • Plan and supervise staffing, training, and onboarding of new field team hires.
    • Assess and identify the field team training needs, manage training and maintain a consistent and up-to-date training culture.
    • Create and manage workflows, trackers, and organisational tools to streamline field team activities and KPIs.
    • Give weekly support and guidance to the Regional Managers and their field teams.
    • Support in the implementation of pilots programs in the field, and liaise with the responsible department/teams where needed.
    • Support in budget planning and management.
    • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the field teams to ensure smooth progress and report findings to the Head of Operations.
    • Occasional travel to our operating counties.
    • Other tasks as assigned.

    What You Should Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education or related field from accredited university (Masters degree is preferred).
    • We are seeking a candidate with at least 8 years of experience in operations, field management and/or training, including direct supervision of professional and support staff in field based roles.
    • Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement and strong operational focus.
    • Execution focus—you like to get things done, correctly and efficiently; you are detail-oriented, organised, and deadline-driven.
    • Process focus—you are an analytical thinker who asks good questions about how things get done and easily grasps the necessary steps to make something happen.
    • In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning and coaching).
    • Hands-on experience with project management and budgeting.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with government representatives, and other stakeholders, at national and County levels.
    • ICT skills: G-suite, Microsoft Excel,Powerpoint, task and Issues management (e.g., Asana,CRM), Android Smartphones
    • Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
    • Prior experience within a fast-paced, high-growth, metric-driven operational organisation will be an advantage.
