    Senior Automation Test Engineer (2 Positions)

    ROLE PURPOSE

    The role will be instrumental in driving the increased availability, scope and capability of the automation tools and capabilities and thereby increasing the depth and efficiency of the testing function whilst reducing overhead. The jobholder will work within an agile environment to continuously test and deliver working software to customers within SCA (SCI and members).

    The role will be responsible for implementation SCI's strategic vision of moving testing and QA towards automation within a DevOps environment. This will involve exploring, assessing, and procuring the best-fit automation tools that support continuous integration/development and you will promote continuous quality and testability of code throughout the software development lifecycle with a focus on API and Data Warehouse testing in an integrated environment of multiple applications.

    The role will also hold the technical expertise for the automation tools, their configuration and operation and training rest of the test/development team.

    KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

    • Understanding and experience of using a variety of test automation tools within a DevOps environment
    • Expertise in setting up automation testing framework and tools from scratch in an integrated environment of multiple applications
    • Develop robust automated regression packs for SCI applications and ensure they are regularly updated to reflect latest releases
    • Expertise in setting up API automation testing and tools from scratch in an integrated environment of multiple applications
    • Analysis of testing results to provide approval of release quality enabling the release to Live operation
    • Responsible for reviewing the automation test results, flag any issues, perform root cause analysis and recommend improvements

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Essential

    • Computing degree - BSc, BA or equivalent experience
    • Knowledge of Automation Test Framework and Tools
    • Understanding of DevOps model and Agile
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Automation Testing and working with different test tools.
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience of working in/with Dev Ops environment and tools such as Robotic Process Automation, Github etc.
    • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Micro services and API automation working in/with Dev Ops environment and tools such as PostMan, Rest Assured etc
    • Strong previous experience as a Automation Test Engineer writing and executing test plans in manual and automated test environments
    • Ability to generate API documentation directly from the API testing tool
    • Implementing test approaches for integration testing, Continuous Integration and Continuous Release within an Agile environment
    • Experience in working with test automation tools and frameworks for functional and non-functional testing - such as REST Assured, Jmeter, Selenium, Team City, Load Runner etc.
    • Experience of working with performance NFRs (non-functional requirements) and carry out load and concurrency testing at application and integration level.
    • Proficient in use of SQL scripting and other data technologies
    • Ability to write and maintain automated regression packs for live applications
    • Demonstrate high level of technical awareness and understanding of software architecture
    • Experience of testing front (e.g. websites) and back end systems (e.g. database checking)
    • Experience of managing issue tracking databases and prioritising issues for future release
    • Adept in using JIRA and/or other tools for test and defect management
    • Have a flair for learning systems working in an integrated environment
    • A demonstrable an eye for detail, problem analysis and resolution skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English - must be able to communicate at both a technical and non-technical level
    • The ability to work independently and well under pressure
    • Cultural awareness and experience of delivering solutions internationally
    • Commitment to Save the Children's aims, values and principles including willingness to abide by and enforce the Child Safeguarding policy.

    Desirable

    • ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Level Certification qualification or similar
    • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and Azure would all be of benefit

    Global Head of Gender Equality in Humanitarian

    ROLE PURPOSE:

    Content Curation Support Manager

    ROLE PURPOSE:

    • Manage content uploaded to Content hub daily. Ensure required metadata is submitted with assets. Managing the folder structure in the back end of Content Hub and help curate content.

    Oracle HCM Administrator

    ROLE PURPOSE: 

    As a member of the global IT team and reporting into the Global HRIS Team Lead, the post-holder will be one of a team of System Administrators who will develop deep understanding of end-to-end system functionality of a new global Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud solution, including Taleo. The post holder will work as part of a team providing level 3 support to end users and HR super users around Oracle HCM Cloud and Taleo. He/she will also configure and validate system localizations for Save the Children Association within the applications, by gathering localisations.

    Owner of the problem management process, ensuring reduction in recurring issue goals are achieved, the role holder will be the first point of contact for all technical queries relating to the systems interfacing with Oracle: ProSave (Procurement System), Agresso (Financial Management System), Data Ware House, LMS, PRIME and will be responsible for the initial diagnostic and triage to the appropriate business teams.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    • Proficient in Oracle HCM Modules and concepts like Core HR, Absence Management, Oracle recruitment Cloud,Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts,HDL .
    • Good Knowlededge of Oracle Taleo end to end Implementation and Integration between Taleo.
    • Experience in SOAP and REST web services calls to Fusion and Taleo

    Project and Change Manager – Shared Operations Project

    ROLE PURPOSE: 

    This role is responsible for the planning, preparation and deployment of Shared Operations and its associated business processes into the Save the Children Association. The Shared Operations project is investigating the viability of sharing resources across SCA. This is a key initiative for SCA and will be key to drive greater efficiencies. 

    Upon joining, this role will be required to assess the current and future state and required plan to deliver the project including the project approach to knowledge transfer. This role will also be responsible for managing the end-to-end change and deployment deliverables specific to the project including regular communication to stakeholders to inform, engage and motivate the impacted functions ensuring acceptance and necessary buy in as well as completion of the required preparatory steps. The role will also be required to work closely with the Business Analyst and Member Project and Change team.

    The role holder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the required project and portfolio management reporting including risk and issues logs, dependencies, status updates etc. In addition, they will manage the Project and Change Management deliverables as part of the defined Save the Children Project Lifecycle examples including the Project Plan, stakeholder matrix, Change and Comms Plan, Change Impact Assessment etc. Core to this role will be ensuring effectively alignment with wider transformation initiatives as well as effectively managing relationships with key stakeholders and driving continuous improvements.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    Essential: 

    • A strong track record of successfully managing medium to large complex projects and/or programmes
    • Proven experience of using and leading change management activities including change impact assessment, stakeholder analysis, managing resistance, building change capacity, designing and defining roles and responsibilities
    • Demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge of programme and project practices and standards 
    • Prior experience in managing and reporting on projects within a Portfolio Office/PMO structure

    Senior Business Analyst

    ROLE PURPOSE: 

    Save the Children is evolving its organisational structure in order to stay true to its mission, vision and values, whilst being able to withstand external pressures. Shared Operations is a trend in the world to provide centralised services to different entities of an organisation. We need to define what this means for our movement, the options we have to explore and the functional and ultimately transformation activities that would need to be undertaken to achieve the required outcomes.

    Shared Operations feasibility started in 2021; initial feasibility and a pilot project have started. Our intention is to deliver the initial pilot and transition it to business as usual in 2022; following this transition, we will complete a feasibility assessment to understand the broader required end state (other areas where Shared Operations would add value), impact and options to move forwards.

    The Business Analyst will work in partnership with the Project and Change Manager to deliver the feasibility study with the objective to further explore Shared Operations within the movement, to define the options available to operationalise it and ultimately to enable decision making on whether and how this will move forwards. The Business Analyst will be accountable for delivering the business analysis work in support of the feasibility study, including process mapping and requirements gathering and will work on the entire project life cycle for the areas move into execution. It will be essential that this aligns with the standard Business Analysis and Architecture methodology and is based on relevant materials already created through other projects / initiatives.

    The Business Analyst will also play a key role in supporting the Project and Change Manager to manage the governance process to enable sign off the feasibility study providing additional analysis and outcomes as required.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    Essential:

    • Excellent communication skills (written & oral English), including the ability to communicate with technical, non-technical, internal and external stakeholders across different seniority levels.

    Senior Project Manager – CAPP Member Deployment

    ROLE PURPOSE: 

    Save the Children is undergoing significant transformation across a number of core business procedures, systems, and structures, through the implementation of a number of organisational change projects.

    One programme is CAPP (Coding, Agresso, PPM PRIME) which has the following objectives:

    • Deploys a new global financial data model (Coding) across the organisation
    • Introduces a new finance system (Agresso) to our Member offices
    • Introduces a new project management methodology (PMM) to improve the quality of our programming for children
    • Deliver a technology solution (PRIME) that enables the new project management methodology and helps us capture MEAL data for our programmes
    • Ensures that our award management system (AMS) is used to manage all of our donor awards

    Deploying each of these solutions has a specific benefit of improving the quality and efficiency of financial and project management across Save the Children. The larger aim of the programme is also to achieve further standardisation of our systems and processes, to become a more efficient and effective organisation and focus more of our time and effort on better outcomes for children.

    The project delivers this solution across Save the Children International (80+ offices) and the Save the Children Membership (20+ offices). This role will be focused on working with Save the Children Members.

    We have deployed the full solution to 4 of our Members offices now (Sweden, Denmark, India and Netherlands) and have taken lessons learned from these deployment to create a standardised plan for the roll-out of these solutions in Members. We are now embarking on the second round of Member offices, which includes working with our offices in the US, Spain, Canada and further in the future Norway, Australia and UK.

    In order to be able to execute the next round of deployments in an efficient and standardised manner, we are now recruiting and additional senior project manager into the team to oversee the deployment to one or multiple Member offices. The senior project manager will work with the Comms and Change Manager to manage the relationship with the Member offices and work with an international team of IT staff and subject matter experts to drive the deployment forward.

    The Senior Project Manager sits within the Project and Change Management team that is part of the Transformation Delivery Department within Save the Children International. This role is accountable for the successful deployment of the CAPP solution in their allocated Member office(s).
