    Senior Fullstack Software Developer

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the rest of the team in an Agile environment to implement well-engineered, scalable solutions
    • 90% of your time will be spent writing code. The rest would be spent collaborating with the team
    • Collaborate with peers in code review
    • Working with product managers and designers to conceptualize new Libryo features
    • Critically and constructively think through project challenges to provide recommendations and solutions
       

    Requirements

    • A university degree in programming, computer science, or a related field.
    • A solid understanding of application design using Laravel.
    • A portfolio of applications and programs to your name
    • Problem-solving skills and critical mindset
    • Minimum 6-7 years software development experience building highly scalable web applications
    • Creative and lateral thinker
    • The desire and ability to learn
    • Effective communication skills to understand the problem domain

    Technical background:

    • Excellent understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented design principles
    • Core knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.)
    • Laravel preferred
    • Proficiency with software testing using PHPUnit
    • Vue JS
    • MySQL experience or other relational database
    • Frontend tools like CSS/HTML/Javascript/Tailwind/AlpineJS
    • AWS
    • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines 
       

    Preferred Skills and Competency Requirements

    • You have experience in digital knowledge management and working with legislation (you know your statutes from your regulations, and your preambles from your sections).

    Web Scripting Developer (Associate Level)

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Develop and maintain scraping software using PHP, Laravel, and other relevant technologies. 
    • Implement web scraping tools and techniques to gather data from various online sources efficiently and accurately. 
    • Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. 
    • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. 
    • Collaborate with the team to design and launch new features. 
    • Maintain code integrity and organisation, following industry best practices. 
    • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimise performance. 
    • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing. 

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
    • Proven experience as a PHP Developer, with solid experience in Laravel framework. 
    • Strong experience in web scraping, including familiarity with tools and libraries such as Goutte, Guzzle, or Playwright. 
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. 
    • Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5 is a plus. 
    • Experience with SQL databases and their declarative query languages. 
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
