    Web Manager ACAPS Netherlands The Hague

    Purpose of the position 

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Manager to oversee and enhance our online presence. The Web Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our website, ensuring optimal performance, user experience, and content accuracy and dynamism.     • Website management: oversee the overall performance, security, and functionality of our website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with ACAPS’ strategy.
    • Content strategy: collaborate with content creators to plan, manage, and update web content, ensuring it is engaging, relevant, SEO-friendly, and consistency in tone, style, and branding. 

    Specific responsibilities: 

    • Project management: lead web development projects, including site redesigns and new feature implementations; work with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
    • SEO & Analytics: monitor and analyse web traffic, SEO performance, and user behavior using tools like Google Analytics; implement strategies to improve outreach and site performance.

    Information Analyst Sudan Analysis ACAPS

    Purpose of the position 

    Contribute to ACAPS’ timely analysis of humanitarian crises, thus enabling crisis responders to make better informed decisions. This is a position for people interested in a career in the humanitarian sector and who are specifically interested in qualitative and quantitative analysis, humanitarian planning, and in promoting evidence-based decision making. The information analyst will develop valuable knowledge in analysis techniques, including secondary data review, joint analysis, and data management. 

    ACAPS’ product portfolio includes regular and non-regular reports, including humanitarian needs analysis, thematic analysis, and anticipatory analysis.

    The Information Analyst in this role will be focusing on analysis and reporting for Sudan.

    • Research and Analysis: Conduct monitoring of information on political, economic, social, and humanitarian developments in the East Africa region of responsibility and design and write analytical reports about them. 
    • Methodology and quality assurance: Support the development of ACAPS knowledge and guidance on better data collection, data preparedness activities, analysis, and reporting. 
    • Collaboration and Networking: Build network of key informants to help to improve the quality of analysis, represent ACAPS and provide visibility to ACAPS’ work. 

    Specific responsibilities 

    Research and Analysis 

    • Review, compile and synthesize all assessments, reports and information products on humanitarian crises in Sudan to understand the information landscape and current gaps.
    • Ensure that crisis monitoring feeds into the design of analytical products.
    • Lead the design and delivery of multi-sector and thematic analytical products, which includes all phases of analysis production, such as ideation, research, and drafting, and coordinating technical support from other teams within ACAPS.
    • Support other team members with the development of analysis products.

    Methodology and quality assurance

    • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of the team’s information management systems and ensure that internal and external needs for information are processed in a structured and efficient manner. This includes maintenance of ACAPS’ internal monitoring tracking sheet.
    • Contribute to the creation of tools to facilitate the ongoing analysis and sharing of data and information that support evidence-based decision making.

    Collaboration and Networking

    Senior Analyst, Protection, Sudan Analysis ACAPS

    Responsibilities

    Protection Monitoring and Implementation:

    • Lead the development and implementation of protection monitoring frameworks and information processes tailored to both analysis production and technical assistance.
    • Design and refine protection monitoring methodologies, ensuring alignment with Global Protection Cluster datasets standards.

    Research and Analysis:

    • Jointly with the other Senior Analysts on the team, ensure high methodological standards and high quality of analysis.
    • Continually review and integrate all assessments, reports, and information products on Sudan's humanitarian scenario to discern the prevailing information landscape and detect existing informational voids.

    Role and responsibilities

    Analysis management and quality assurance

    • Ensure effective processes of planning, production, and timely delivery of analytical reports, including coordination of resources (analysts, ACAPS and external experts, editors etc) and collaboration between different parts of the team.
    • Provide training and feedback to the analysts on design, content, structure and quality of the analysis.

    Secondary review and analysis production

    • Review assessments, reports and information products on the specific project/country to understand the information landscape and current gaps.

    Research Analyst Crisis in Sight ACAPS

    Role and responsibilities

    Main responsibilities

    • Research and Analysis: Conduct monitoring of information on global political, economic, social, and humanitarian developments in the assigned countries of responsibility and design and write analytical reports about them.
    • Methodology and quality assurance: Support the development of ACAPS knowledge and guidance on better data collection, data preparedness activities, analysis, and reporting.
    • Collaboration: Represent ACAPS and provide visibility to CrisisInSight work.

    Specific responsibilities

    Research and Analysis

    CrisisInSight Global Severity Index

    • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data from the INFORM Severity Index.
    • Conduct the analysis of baseline and historical event data.
    • Through regular monitoring of crises, identify when is necessary to produce qualitative or quantitative analysis reports to draw attention to specific situations.
    • Guarantee the quality of data collected by supporting data quality control processes.

    CrisisInSight other products

    • Gather and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to feed the Humanitarian Access Index and Global Risk Analysis, and in general to ACAPS portfolio.
    • Conduct trend and risk analysis of evolving crises in order to feed the ACAPS quarterly risk report.
    • Work in collaboration with the entire analysis team to ensure timely production and dissemination of ACAPS original products.
    • Produce thematic ad hoc reports and analysis.
    • Update the country pages of ACAPS website using analysis and data collected for ACAPS products.
    • Support the communications team to disseminate analysis reports by providing summary text and tag lines for use on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, and on occasion, carrying out dissemination activity via social media

    • Contribute to the improvement of ACAPS analysis methodologies. Participate in internal evaluation to improve the quality of analysis activity.
