    Business Agency Manager

    Reporting to the CEO the head of Agency Business primary role is sales of the real estate property, acquisition, leasing and letting of space through sourcing for clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients.

     

    This involves persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the Company, and oversee the agency business for the company and strategic planning to develop the pipeline of new business coming in to the company.

    Business Development Planning

     

    • Attend industry functions, such as industry events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
    • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
    • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
    • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

     

    Business Growth

     

    • Prospect for potential new clients, use persuasive approaches and pitches to turn this into increased business.
    • Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
    • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
    • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. Research and build relationships with new clients.
    • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
    • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives. Participate in pricing the solution/service.
    • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
    • Present an image that mirrors that of the client.

     

    Client Retention

     

    • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
    • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
    • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

     

    Management and Research

     

    • Develop and manage a comprehensive sales management system
    • Forecast sales targets for the Agency department and ensure they are met by the team.
    • Work with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
    • Training and mentoring to business agency officers and other internal staff.
    • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s business and listings.
    • Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the company’s performance.
    • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.

     

    Education

     

    • A bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of sales or marketing experience.
    • An MBA is an added advantage.

    Store Manager

     

    Overall Job Purpose: The Store Manager will be responsible to oversee both in-bound and out-bound supply chain processes; procuring, receiving and dispatching of raw material and finished products, maintaining good warehouse and excellent stock management practices to ensure effective inventory control and availability of saleable stock.

    Key Result Areas

     

    • Co-ordination of stores activities both in-bound and out- bound.
    • Management of stocks, replenishing of the stocks both Raw materials and finished products. Keep and maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Oversee the procuring process of the raw materials and managing the Turn Around Time for Supplies.
    • Liaising with the Purchase Officer on matters of stock replenishment and maintain the supply chain logistics at highest levels of efficiency.
    • Supervising receipt and issuance of both raw materials and finished goods. Supervising stores personnel.
    • Daily physical count of finished products and monthly stock taking of all raw materials and finished products
    • Maintaining hygiene and good housekeeping practice in the stores.
    • Ensuring reports for the store operations are readily in good time and forwarding to the management.
    • Ensuring raw materials delivered are of collect quantity and right quality.
    • Keeping track of material usage, by ensuring stock movement sheet is duly recorded and properly filled.
    • Forwarding all stock sheets with action plan to the Directors on daily basis.
    • Maintaining zero to tolerable variance and conducting on-time reconciliation of any variance in the store.
    • Ensure safety in the warehouse by monitoring stacking and clear gangways and adhering to the SHE requirement in the warehouse.
    • Monitor stocks’ shelf life to ensure that there are no expiries in the store and that an effective FIFO system is in place.
    • Any other duties that may be assigned to you by your superiors

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

     

    • Degree in Warehouse / Logistics management / Business Related Field or
    • Diploma in Store management
    • 4 years’ experience in a related field
    • Computer proficiency
    • Possess good supervisory skills

    Senior Accountant

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Accounting:
    • Provide daily Cash Collection and analysis reports.
    • Stock Control and conducting investigations on variances for both stocks and cash
    • Statutory reports and filling on time. V.A.T, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF etc.
    • Creditors’ accounts update and control; ensuring that creditors’ reconciliations and payments are done properly including posting of cheques.
    • Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating the collection, consolidation and evaluation of financial data.

     

    Reporting & Analysis:

     

    • Preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets including. Budget vs. Actual variance reports.
    • Monthly preparation of financial statements including Profit and loss, balance sheet, depreciation schedules and loan statements

     

    Audits & Examinations:

     

    • Assist with annual external audit. Complete requested materials. Assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit.

     

    Systems:

     

    • Assist with testing and receive final approval for system reports required for management, financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations.
    • Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.

     

    Banking / Cash:

     

    • Bank accounts reconciliations and resolve various issues with bank such as cleared Cheque differences, bank fee anomalies and targeted balance calculations.

     

    Other:

     

    • Document policies, SOPs- Standard work procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
    • Any other duties assigned by directors

     

    Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

     

    • CPA section 5
    • Degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university is an added advantage
    • Developing budgets and tracking budget expenses
    • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Strong analytical and accounting skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages and statutory accounting.
    • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Managing processes, management proficiency and coordination department
    • Work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a senior accounting position preferably in a busy manufacturing

    Farm Manager

    Farm Manager

    Under the direction of the managing director, the post holder role will primarily include overseeing, planning and coordinating of the day to day activities on the farm. 
     
    Major Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Manage the health and production of all the pullets on the farm
    • Pro-actively plan for all the activities that keep the farm running e.g. Payment of staff, re-stocking of chicks, disposal of ex-layers, vaccinations and immunizations for pullets
    • Ensure high standards of staff welfare and maintain high levels of productivity
    • Receive and sign all official documents issued and received on the Farm by suppliers and customers
    • Analyze productivity and health levels of the pullets and ensure management is kept well updated on the same
    • Ensure that all the pullets in stock maintain optimal health levels at all times
    • Enforce a strict policy that allows for a death rate of only 8 pullets a month whereby management must be notified of the time and cause of death of every single bird and the carcass must be viewed and signed off by the post holder before it is disposed
    • Keep good records of all goods in stock i.e. feeds supply, agrochemicals as well as farm equipment being used by casuals
    • Regular culling of all the birds in stock to ensure we only maintain healthy productive birds in our flock and dispose of profit-less birds
    • Design the job cards for the technicians on a daily basis and share with management as well as the office administrator for official follow up and payment preparation
    • Any other duty as assigned by Management

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience managing a large farm with over 40 workers
    • Must declare present salary
    • Must have a valid driving license
    • Must have a valid practicing license from the KEVB (Veterinary Board of Kenya)
    • Must be +30 years of age *a mature candidate preferably male*
    • Cost conscious, assertive, a good communicator, problem solver
    • A business background in education or in practice is preferred
    • A critical thinker
