Quality Assurance Specialist at Palladium International

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be a dedicated resource responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable standards and guidelines requirements. S/he will work closely with the business analyst and software engineers. The incumbent will serve not only as a Quality Assurance Specialist but also as a key technology team member who will fit into various roles to deliver significant value to clients and end users.

The Quality Assurance Specialist will report to EMR/HER Product Manager.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, document and execute detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
• Review requirement specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
• Distinctively identify, record, document and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Leverage knowledge and contribute to proper knowledge management within the project.
• Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation and training users.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience in white box, black box testing and automated testing tools.
• Experience in performance and security testing.
• Working experience in either ASP.NET or Java.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Ability to recommend design improvements or corrections to software engineers throughout the development process.
• Maintain effective communication with software engineers on software limitation, capability, and performance requirement.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating and sharing ideas.
• Willingness to meet new challenges with enthusiasm.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in fast paced environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor?s degree in computer science or a closely related field,
• At least two (2) years of experience in software development with responsibilities that include quality assurance, maintenance, implementation and deployment.
• Experience in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software will be an added advantage.
