The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) was established by the Government of Kenya on the 14th of January 2013 under an Act of Parliament-Act No.4 of 2013, to provide research based curricula and curriculum support materials responsive to the needs of the society.
a) Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail the following:
1. Undertake the development of relevant and quality curriculum and curriculum support materials;
2. Initiate and participate in orientation;
3. Coordinate activities of subject and course panels; and
4. Coordinate development and evaluation of curriculum support materials.
b) Requirement for Appointment For appointment to this grade an applicant must have:
(i) Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in curriculum studies or related field and relevant working experience of at least three (3) years at a supervisory level.
(ii) Have demonstrated professional competence in curriculum development or related areas and a team player.
