Assistant Accountant at Bible Translation and Literacy

Duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare periodic financial statements.
• Carry out cash, bank & other general ledger reconciliations.
• Petty cash and float management.
• Post data into the accounting system.
• Process statutory payments.
• Manage suppliers’ payments.
• Prepare customer invoices.
• Daily stock reconciliations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports.
• Any other duty assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration - Accounting option.
• A CPA Part 2.
• Proficiency in accounting softwares especially Quickbooks, Sage or ACCPAC.
• Good command of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Access, and Excel)
• Experience in internal controls and financial systems reviews is desired.
• Self-motivated, persistent, resolute, and able to deliver with minimal supervision.
• At least one year of experience in a busy accounting department.
• Experience in food and beverage controls in the hospitality industry is an added advantage
