    Change and Communication Officer - Access to Medicine Roadmap Project

    The Change and Communication Officer reports to and is managed by the AM Project Leader until the vote at the Executive Committee takes place, after which reporting line will be subject to change. Overall accountability will be to the Secretary General of MSF International. 

    PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTANCY

    In order to finalise the objectives of MSF’s new strategy on access to health products, the purpose of this work is to:

    • Ensure project’s activities and outputs, outcomes of proposal vote and implications are mapped, analysed and communicated clearly, reaching and engaging with targeted audiences.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLE

    In close collaboration and under the guidance of the Project Leader, and drawing the expertise, views and perspectives and support of other team members and MSF key stakeholders, the Change and Communication Officer:

    Advises the Project Leader and the Chair of the Access to Medicines Task Force on:

    • communication approaches and development of key messages in relation to project’s outputs and outcomes
    • change management approaches relevant to project goals and outcomes
    • identification of risks and opportunities to project mandate and implementation of outcomes
    • Develops, maintains, and monitors ‘push’ and ‘pull’ internal communications tools (i.e. SharePoint site, Yammer Group, Newsletter, Events, etc.) specifying Why/How/What/Whom/When; Scope in/out, etc. to explain and manage expectations regarding Access to Medicine Roadmap Project and its outomes
    • Supports Project Team to ensure that key material produced by the Project is clear, engaging and accessible by target audiences
    • Co-ordinates with associative related communication activities and support as appropriate
    • Other duties as per the project’s requirements

    Job requirements

    • Demonstrated experience handling complex internal communication campaigns and/or change management projects
    • Excellent communication skills, with an ability present complex information succinctly
    • Working knowledge of web-based communication tools (Microsoft Sharepoint, Yammer especially)
    • Experience of producing online marketing and internal professional materials
    • Strong communicator who works well independently and with a multi-cultural team
    • Experience in working across different cultures and time zones
    • Fluent in English (C2 CEF) . Fluency in French, Arabic and/or Spanish a strong asset
    • Experience working with MSF or other international not-for-profit organizations
