    Copywriter

    •  As a copywriter, you will collaborate closely with the Art Director and designers, contributing to creative projects, collaborating with diverse teams, and influencing content strategies. This role provides a contractual arrangement with ongoing opportunities for professional advancement and growth.

    Salary Range - KES 65,000 - KES 80,000

    Key Responsibilities:

    • At The Digital Monkeys Limited, the role of Copywriter is pivotal in crafting compelling and engaging written content across various digital platforms. The Copywriter is responsible for creating clear, concise, and persuasive copy that resonates with target audiences and aligns with clients' brand identities and messaging objectives. Working closely with the creative team, including graphic designers and content strategists, the Copywriter generates ideas, develops concepts, and produces content for websites, social media, advertisements, email campaigns, and more. With a keen understanding of digital marketing principles and audience behavior, the Copywriter plays a key role in driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and ultimately, business growth.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Content Creation: Produce engaging and persuasive written content for various digital platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, advertisements, blogs, and more.
    • Content Strategy: Collaborate with the content strategy team to develop content plans and strategies that align with clients' goals and target audience preferences.
    • Research: Conduct thorough research on industry trends, target audience behavior, and client competitors to inform content creation and strategy.
    • Brand Alignment: Ensure all written content aligns with clients' brand identities, messaging guidelines, and voice/tone preferences.
    • Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit written content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and adherence to style guidelines.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with graphic designers, content strategists, and other team members to ensure content is effectively integrated into overall marketing campaigns.
    • Client Communication: Communicate with clients to understand their content needs, gather feedback, and ensure content meets their expectations.
    • Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines for content delivery, ensuring timely execution of marketing campaigns.
    • Optimization: Monitor content performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for content optimization and improvement.
    • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in digital marketing and copywriting to continually enhance skills and knowledge..

    Key Competencies:

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field. A degree in Creative Writing or Copywriting is advantageous.
    • 2 - 4 years of experience in copywriting
    • Exceptional writing skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
    • Ability to craft engaging and persuasive copy across various formats, including web content, social media posts, email campaigns, and advertising materials.
    • Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and concepts that resonate with target audiences and align with brand objectives.
    • Strong research skills to gather relevant information and insights for content creation, ensuring accuracy and credibility in writing.
    • Ability to adapt writing style and tone to suit different brands, industries, and target audiences.
    • Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in written content.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and clients, to develop effective content strategies and campaigns.
    • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, such as content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and email marketing software.
    • A strong portfolio showcasing examples of previous writing work, demonstrating creativity, versatility, and proficiency in copywriting.
