Deputy Director Trade Licensing at Nairobi City County Public Service Board

Job Requirements

• Be a holder of Bachelor Degree either in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Entrepreneurship or related field from a recognized University in Kenya. A higher degree will be an added advantage.
• Must have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than ten (10) years in a related area within the Public Service.
• Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Job Description

• Monitoring the SBP revenue which includes setting performance targets and work plan for attainment of the department’s mandate.
• Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of laws and policies related to SBP. This entails; overseeing the compliance of business community to the laws and regulations through enforcement of the laws, inspection of all business premises and validation of the Single Business Permits.
• Coordinate and ensure the timely submission of a quality and comprehensive progress report pertaining to SBP
• Monitor the SBP automated system controls and recommend for improvement from time to time.
• Ensuring involvement of stakeholders in Trade Licensing processes as appropriate
• Participate in development of the annual work plan and budgets process in the department.
• Perform any other related tasks as maybe assigned by the Director Trade Licensing.
