    Deputy Director Inter-Government Relations

    Job Requirements

    • Served in the grade of Assistant Director Inter Government Relations or in a comparable position in the Public Sector for a minimum period of seven (3) years;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences;
    •  Be a member of a professional Body;
    • Attended Senior Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks;
    • Eight (8) years relevant experience;
    • Have good communication skills;
    • Demonstrated competence in management.

    Job Description

    • Communicate decisions, reports and plans of the IGRTC and the Council of Governors to relevant Sectors and units of the County Government;
    • Coordinate the implementation of decisions of intergovernmental relations structures (IGRTC, Council of Governors, any other) in as far as they affect Nairobi City County Government;
    • Coordinate consultations and cooperation between Nairobi City County Government and the National Government, and between Nairobi City County Government and other County Governments
    • Coordinate transfer of functions between Nairobi City County Government and National Government;
    • Manage agreements and memorandum of understandings between Nairobi City County Government and the National Government, and between Nairobi City County Government and other County Governments
    • Share information on issues of common interest with National Government or with other County Governments; 
    • Facilitate the management of dispute management mechanisms in matters affect the Nairobi City County Government;
    • Provide linkages with International, Regional, National, and local organizations and institutions for collaboration and partnership within the county focusing on policy, research and development;

    Deputy Director County Executive Committee (CEC) Secretariat

    Job Requirements

    • Served in the grade of Assistant Director CEC Secretariat or in a comparable position in the Public Sector for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    • A degree in social sciences;

    • Assisting in the County Committee Clerk’s duties of; minutes writing for the CEC meetings, CEC Sub-Committees, Departmental Review Meetings or any other meeting that the Deputy Director CEC Secretariat may inform the need to have minutes written
    • Coordinate the County Executive Committee Clerks in preparation of the final minutes after the meetings (iv)Attending the CEC meetings with the County Executive Committee Clerks sitting in the CEC meeting taking minutes
    • Assisting the County Executive Committee Clerks duties of, making follow up on County Executive Committee implementation status of the decisions and resolutions from the Executive Committee implementation status of the decisions and resolutions from the auctioning officers and compilation of the final status reports
    • Supervising the county Executive Committee Clerks in the performance of their duties and reporting back to the Director CEC Secretariat
    • Preparation and submission of Quarterly and annual performance contract reports of the County Executive Committee Clerks
    • Preparation and submission of mid-year annual Performance Appraisal System’s reports of the County Executive Committee Clerks

    Job Requirements

    •  Served in the grade of Deputy Director of Trade and Enterprise development for a minimum period of  three (3) years;
    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Agricultural Economics, Mathematics, biological/physical sciences, Entrepreneurship, project planning and management or Statistics Economics from a recognized university

    Deputy Director Trade Licensing

    Job Requirements

    • Be a holder of Bachelor Degree either in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Entrepreneurship or related field from a recognized University in Kenya. A higher degree will be an added advantage.
    • Must have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than ten (10) years in a related area within the Public Service.

    Job Description

    • Monitoring the SBP revenue which includes setting performance targets and work plan for attainment of the department’s mandate.
    • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of laws and policies related to SBP.     Job Requirements

    • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Sciences, Archives and Records Management or its equivalent from a recognized university.
    • Have a Diploma in Archives and Records Management from a recognized institution or university.
