    Learning Management System Administrator

    The Learning Management System (LMS) administrator is responsible for providing technical support of the Group’s learning platform. This position will manage and support the existing Learning Management System with more than 6000 users

    REPORTING & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

    The LMS Specialist reports to the Manager learning and development. This position works closely with the Learning Managers, Learning Coordinator, HR Business Partners, Team Leaders, departmental learning representatives, Information Technology system team and directly engages with   learners.

    The installation of all system updates, upgrades, integrated tools, and other software associated with the Equity Academy platform
    Management of the learning platform including curation of content, update of training materials, updating the e-library, refreshing look and feel of the system, enhancing user experience on the platform

    User Management:

    1. Creates user logins as needed and assigns user permissions.
    2. Creates and manages user structures including the creation of user groups and learning cohorts.
    3. Manages course enrollment including progress tracking.
    4. Act as Tier 1 support for learners needing support to access or complete courses

    Course Management:

    1. Manage the upkeep, review and refresh of existing online courses and related content
    2. Support the delivery of hybrid in-person and online training programmes, publishing and archives online or blended learning courses, assigns training curricula, and adds and deletes resources.
    3. Populates course information and assigns learners.
    4. Develops and analyze reporting data for ongoing access to learning information/courses, generates standard and custom reports.
    5. Creates and manages the overall course structure and sets up course programs based on specifications from the instructional designer.
    6. Manages tracking of course revisions and history.
    7. Builds online assessments and evaluations in LMS for courses.

    Troubleshooting:

    1. Provides troubleshooting assistance for users regarding logging in to the LMS and accessing courses.
    2. Troubleshoots and resolves issues relating to system functionality and software systems.
    3. Serves as point of escalation for support issues, which may include interaction with LMS vendor and other vendor support services.
    4. Reviews and monitors system performance.
    5. Develop and implement innovative ways of evaluating knowledge transfer to learners
    6. Implement reporting mechanisms that evaluate the uptake, output, and outcomes of digital learning in Equity
    7. Maintains and tracks technical procedures to ensure the security and integrity of systems/networks.
    8. Collaborate on surveying the needs from learners and sharing this feedback to be actioned as appropriate
    9. Analyze course enrolments and completion rates and implement strategies to increase both and monitor for learners’ progress and utilization including campaigns, tessers, bit sized learning
    10. Be responsible for the LMS platform and vendor relationship, maintaining awareness of the marketplace and new/emerging platforms.
    11. Contribute on emerging design, development and implementation strategies and tactics for digital learning.

    Qualifications 

    1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field
    2. 3+ years’ experience working with Learning Management System platforms as a developer or       administrator (and ideally a combination of both), including end-user support
    3. Knowledge of and experience with variety of web design technologies such as HTML; Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and exposure to Moodle system will be an advantage
    4. Familiarity with course design and development
    5. Coursework and/or certifications relating to learning management system administration preferred
    6. Social media or knowledge management experience
    7. Experience working in the financial industry will be an added advantage

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    1. Tech-savvy: comfortable diagnosing and solving technical problems (e.g. using Chrome Developer Tools, editing HTML and JavaScript)
    2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); the ability to interact and collaborate effectively with people of diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
    3. Strong organizational & planning skills with keen attention to detail: ability to handle multiple tasks and details efficiently while meeting deadlines.
