    Program Assistant

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in coordinating the implementation of program activities by South Sudan partners to improve their peacebuilding and trauma-healing delivery to target populations.
    • Support in planning trainings, workshops, and meetings of South Sudan peacebuilders, faith leaders, key government officials, community leaders, and peace committees to mainstream trauma healing into peacebuilding initiatives.
    • Track and report the partner program work plans, including review and validation of data presented by the program implementing partners.
    • Assist in reviewing partners and program counsellor narrative reports and compilation of quarterly, biannual, and annual AFSC’s and donor reports.
    • Filling and record keeping of all South Sudan program documents.
    • Preparing field visit documentation and reports.
    • Document program success stories, human interest stories, fliers, brochures, draft PowerPoints, and program publications.
    • Support mobilization, communication, and other logistics plans during meetings, trainings, and any other program-related events.
    • Support field visits to partners to monitor implementation progress.
    • Articulate AFSC's values and principles including its commitment to peace and nonviolent approaches to social justice and peacebuilding among partner organizations.
    • Any other duties assigned.

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, Counselling Psychology, Social Science, Development, or a related discipline.
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience providing program support in an NGO setting.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word
    • Fluency in spoken and written English.
    • Ability to pay attention to details.
    • Self-driven and innovative
    • Good communication and presentation skills
    • Able to work with minimum supervision.
    • High degree of Integrity
    • Strong program management skills required.
    • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and training, team building, networking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Must have understanding and respect for the principles, concerns, and considerations of AFSC regarding issues of race, class, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and disability.
