    Program Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure quality program delivery of the scope, within time and on budget with a strong focus on accountability.
    • Ensure the program meets BOMA’s standards for operational excellence and donor expectations.
    • Establish partnerships with NGOs, schools, health facilities and county government departments.
    • Support the team to build capacity and execute with excellence and address any capacity gaps quickly and efficiently.
    • Support the design and delivery of training to increase staff capacity, collaborating closely with the Training and Capacity Development team.
    • Track and monitor program performance through real-time and retrospective metrics and assessments to ensure continuous improvement in quality, effectiveness, and efficacy
    • Implement data-driven activities and initiatives to achieve high-quality learning experiences, including metrics of malnutrition, the ability of participants, communities and systems’ to address malnutrition and food insecurity children well-being.
    • Collaborate with Research and Learning to establish a SOIL program-specific research and learning agenda to drive BOMA’s work forward
    • Provide hands-on support for quality implementation of the program activities with accountability and impact.
    • Lead the further development of program activities to support SOIL goals and objectives. These could include engagement with Community Health Promoters (CHPs), monthly nutritional screening, nutritional education and Agri nutrition training, nutritional counselling, referrals for treatment, household dialogues and visioning and action planning.
    • Facilitate roll out of cross-cutting themes within the program i.e. gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), climate change, women empowerment, etc.
    • Utilize Performance insight (PI), Power BI and other IT driven tools to monitor and track weekly and monthly progress of program activities

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in public health, health and Nutrition, Natural Resource Management, Social sciences or related field; Master’s degree is an added advantage
    • Over five (5) Years of progressive experience working with nutrition or livelihood programs in ASAL areas
    • Experience working and managing relationships and consortium partnerships
    • Demonstrated ability to oversee and develop high performing teams, including both direct reports and teams of colleagues and partners. Experience with remote management a plus.
    • Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, salesforce and internet.
    • Strong project management skills including the ability to anticipate demand and manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting tight deadlines.
