    Readvertisement-Project Lead

    • In view of this we seek to hire a highly motivated and seasoned Project Lead to spearhead the Creative Business Development Program in Kenya. This pivotal role requires exceptional leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure the program's success in nurturing and empowering creative entrepreneurs at the idea stage.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead the comprehensive planning, execution, management and monitoring of the Creative Business Development Program.
    • Develop project plans and ensure adherence to timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to procurement and financial guidelines.
    • Supervise, manage and support the program team, including trainers, coaches, county coordinators.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including creative entrepreneurs, partners, donors, and community leaders.
    • Support the development and delivery of training materials,  sessions and workshops.
    • Collaborate with the Head Coach to ensure the curriculum is relevant, comprehensive, and effective.
    • Identify and assess risks to the program’s success and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during program implementation.
    • Continuously review project progress and impact and prepare and present regular reports 
    • Manage stakeholder engagement and communication.

    • Work with the M &E Expert to develop and implement an M&E framework.

    Required Specifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, education, gender and development studies or a related field; advanced degree will be an advantage
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a project setting or environment, preferably in the context of entrepreneurship, creative space, education, gender or  economic development programs.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex  multiple projects as well as have excellent reporting skills according to the development partner rules and guidelines 
    • Passion for entrepreneurship, creativity, and social impact, with a commitment to fostering innovation and economic development in Kenya.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills and ability  to handle multiple teams onsite and in the field.   
    • Experience working in Kenya or East Africa, with knowledge of the local context and challenges.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational and  innovative problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Proficiency in English; proficiency in Swahili as well as  is a plus.
    • Project management certification (PMP)
