Senior Data Engineer at Maisha Meds

Responsibilities

Development

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to process pharmacy and other health data from our app
• Drive improvements to our existing data pipeline as the quantity of data and the audience for it grows; increase the efficiency and effectiveness of existing dbt and Terraform systems.
• Explore and integrate data tools and systems, both to build on our current pipeline and for new projects.

Technical Leadership

• Provide hands-on technical leadership (architecture and design, code reviews, and incident management) to the data team
• Contribute to documentation about ETL pipelines and design choices
• Maintain production servers; encourage and ensure adherence to best security practices

Product and Project Management

• While we have product managers at Maisha Meds, at times, you’ll need to engage with stakeholders directly and product manage yourself
• Translate ambiguous stakeholder desires into concrete requirements and action plans
• Work across teams and both internal and external stakeholders to execute on projects; collaborate with the business development team and product owners to create new data products
• Understand customers and users and be able to provide product direction
