    Senior Technical Director - Studio & OB

    Responsibilities:

    • Determine, manage and coordinate the resources required to produce and direct studio/OB productions that resonate with the standards and in house style.
    • Ensure studio preparedness for all productions.
    • Liaise with creative producers on the level of creative input.
    • Direct live/recorded shows.
    • Operate all equipment in studio and on location e.g. The Vision mixer.
    • Ensure production checklists are properly up-dated and all materials required are in place by set deadlines.
    • Quality control. This includes time management, advice talent on dress code especially when using the green box, proper studio lighting, proper camera blocking, proper sound and video feeds, etc.
    • Ensure well-managed schedules for production staff including annual leave management and weekly shift management.
    • Support Switch Media in achieving its mission through the continued delivery of outstanding, innovative content, across multiple genres and platforms.
    • Any other departmental roles as may be delegated by your supervisor.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Attend Production & Technology planning/departmental meetings.
    • Draw-up and manage studio production schedules in consultation with other stakeholders
    • Prompt studio preparedness, one hour before any production.
    • Liaise with the producers on their products in advance before productions begin.
    • Ensure smooth studio & field operations; timely and apt studio and field setups, minimal technical errors during studio &field productions, proper handling of equipment, daily and weekly maintenance of all equipment.
    • Prompt submission of weekly reports.
    • Attend post production meetings and discuss challenges and find resolutions.
    • Carry out all converged roles seamlessly with minimal errors if any.

     Qualifications:

    • University Degree or Diploma in TV Production/Media Technology.
    • Minimum 5 years of live studio production/directing.
    • Deep familiarity with livestreams and entertainment production.
    • Knowledge of Television technology.
    • Creative mind and highly organized.
    • Team management skills.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
    • Thrive in a high-pressure environment.
