Job Description

• Our Client is seeking for a Site Manager whose role will encompass a diverse set of responsibilities aimed at driving strategic growth and operational excellence. You shall be responsible for the profit and loss (P&L) of the farm and success will be judged on this basis. This pivotal role involves formulating and executing the farm's strategic plan, including market research, business development and innovation in crop management practices among other roles. You shall be responsible for all the operations in your farm.

What does the job involve?

• Formulate and spearhead farm’s strategic plan.
• Search markets for the farm produce.
• Communicate the farm’s strategic plan to the implementation team.
• Research and introduce new pesticides and new crops.
• Control and regulate the pesticides usage and procurement.
• Authorize the pesticide application program from the crop protection team.
• Lead and supervise the production team as well as supervisors.
• Plan and oversee the Good Agricultural Practices(GAP)
• Create the irrigation plan.
• Prepare and spearhead budgets and work plans implementation in the farm.
• Manage farm labor and allocated farm resources.

Requirements

• Must have 6 years experience in an agricultural related field (Experience with Pyrethrum is a plus).
• Technical knowledge in land work, planting, pests and disease control, feeding, Irrigation, crop husbandry and post harvest management.
• Must have a degree or diploma in an agricultural related field or equivalent.
• Knowledge on codes of practices / organizations the firm is accredited to such as Global Agricultural Practices (GAP) as well as farm management principles.
• Basics on personnel management, farm engineering and accounting.
• Ability to lead a team and ensure productivity.
• Problem solving ability and keen to details.
• Confidentiality and integrity.
• Ability to deliver on set targets and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills both oral and written.
