    Transport Supervisor

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with the insurance providers to acquire documentation / licenses  for property, stock,  WIBA and medical in a timely manner;
    • Keep track of renewals for all the insurance covers and ensure payments are made on time;
    • Follow up on claims by working closely with insurance investigators and loss adjustors to make sure any arising claims are settled on time;
    • Ensure the company has the required valid licenses and other documentation to ensure compliance with the relevant regulatory bodies to avoiding penalties;
    • Insurance cover management for all General and Medical for staff, including claims management;
    • Ensure licenses for all warehouses and business premises including branding licenses, NEMA , fire etc. are up to date and renewed on time;
    • Fleet management to include maintenance of cars, tracking repairs and services;
    • Fuel management – to include fuel usage, procuring of fuel for third party transporters and negotiating for best rates, quality and terms;
    • Compile insurance quotations from brokers as and when needed for decision making;
    • Assist in office logistics e.g. hotel bookings, airport transfers, etc. as and when required;
    • Responsible for record keeping of all assets and lease documents for all the properties leased by the organization; and
    • Any other responsibilities assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time

    Knowledge and Experience Requirements (Qualifications)

    • Diploma In Business Administration, background in the insurance industry an advantage
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or business management is advantageous.
    • Proven experience working in an office environment.
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
    • Working knowledge of business management.
    • The ability to multitask.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Negotiation skills
    • Communication skills
    • Good understanding of the various risks
