    Assistant Manager-Data Engineering

    Role Purpose

    The role holder will support the Manager-Data Engineering in overseeing the development and maintenance of data engineering processes and infrastructure. He/She will play a key role in executing strategic initiatives, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring effective corporate governance related to data management.

    Main Responsibilities

    Operational:

    • Assist in designing and developing a robust data infrastructure, including Azure Data Lakes and integration with ML, Analytics, and Data Science functionalities.
    • Help maintain and monitor data pipelines, including those for machine learning.
    • Support the modelling of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) entities and verify data completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and documentation.
    • Contribute to the development of a Self-Service Analytics platform.
    • Assist in implementing CI/CD practices within the data platform.
    • Engage in existing processes, identifying and addressing gaps.
    • Support the correct SDLC promotion and release approval processes.
    • Ensure development practices follow CI/CD principles and are repeatable.

    Corporate Governance (Regulatory and Compliance):

    • Support adherence to security best practices and compliance with data protection laws.
    • Assist in the documentation process and maintenance of operational runbooks to ensure business continuity.
    • Help maintain the Data Dictionary and ensure the Ubiquitous Language is up-to-date.

    Leadership and Culture:

    • Support data-driven culture across the organization.
    • Build and maintain relationships within the data team and broader business groups.
    • Collaborate with team members, learning from technical leads, and contribute ideas to enhance solutions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ degree in IT or related field.
    • Certification in Azure/GCP/AWS preferred.

    Relevant Experience

    • Minimum three years’ experience in a data engineer role or similar.
    • Experience and knowledge of a coding language such as Python specifically data manipulation

    Bancassurance Operations Officer

    Role Purpose

    Responsible for supporting the smooth functioning of bancassurance operations within a financial institution. This role focuses on ensuring efficient administrative and operational processes, managing relationships with insurance partners, and facilitating the delivery of bancassurance products and services to customers.

     Main Responsibilities
     Operational

    • Policy Administration: coordinate the bancassurance policy administrative tasks, including policy issuance, renewal invitation, endorsements, and reimbursement.
    • Customer Service: Provide support to customers regarding their bancassurance policies, addressing inquiries, resolving issues relating to the various customer touch points.
    • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the overall effectiveness of bancassurance operations. Spearhead continuous process automation and innovation.

     Reporting and Analysis

    • Generate accurate portfolio performance reports including claims experience regularly.
    • Prepare and share bancassurance distribution network production and Turn Around Time reports.
    • Analyze data to derive insights that inform bancassurance decision-making and strategic planning.

     Relation Management

    • External stakeholder management: Build and maintain positive relationships with bancassurance strategic partners to drive revenue growth.
    • Interdepartmental collaboration: Develop strong interdepartmental relationships to guarantee excellent customer experience.

     Corporate Governance

    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards in all bancassurance operations. Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Data Protection: Adhere to the provisions of Data Protection Act of 2019 while handling customer data and policy information.

     Relevant Experience

    • At least 3 years’ experience in the underwriting, analysis, or sales of health insurance products preferably within an insurance intermediary or Insurance Company.
