    Head Product Development

    The Position:

    The role holder will increase product range of the Treasury business in line with competitors and market developments. As local customers get sophisticated and with more foreign entrants into the market, it has become a necessity to have these products to attract/retain clients and increase revenue streams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work together with the FX trading and sales desks and ALM desk to identify the products that need to be introduced based on internal requirements, client requirements and competitors offering.
    • Liaise with the Corporate and Retail divisions to further enhance Treasury product offering for their clients
    • Put together product papers for management approvals and bring together all support units (including but not limited to Technology, Operations, Risk, Credit, Legal) to ensure successful rollout of products.
    • Obtain necessary regulatory approval to roll out the new products.
    • Develop a financial reporting structure for the new products.
    • Liaise with sales teams across the bank to create an understanding of the new products and develop their sales skills these new products.
    • Identify a target market (both local and offshore) for the new products and set up dealing lines, organize necessary documentation and get involved in actual selling of the products.
    • Support Treasury Sales team in promoting cross-sell of FX products & referrals from other units within by announcing various campaigns, incentives structures, training support etc with a specific financial target.
    • Relay any important information/news to relevant parties promptly to manage risk and maximize gains.
    • Procuring of required Technology as per business needs and market developments.
    • Any other duties that may deemed necessary.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria:

    • Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution preferably in a business-related field.
    • ACI Dealing certificate is required.
    • 10 years’ treasury business experience; with at least 7 years’ experience handling derivatives and product development.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, and people management.

    Senior Software Quality Engineer

    The Position: 

    The Senior Software Quality Engineer is responsible for architecting new automated test strategies and frameworks, in addition to creating, implementing, and automating testing in support of software test requirements. The Senior Software Quality Engineer works with QA Analysts to develop, maintain, and enhance the test automation framework and automation infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Test strategy formulation which includes decomposing the business and technical requirements into test scenarios, defining test data requirements, managing test case creation, devising contingencies plans and other testing preparation activities.
    • Lead formal reviews of test plans, designs, and requirements documents with cross-functional teams.
    • Accurately predict the amount of effort required for projects QA activities and tasks.
    • Develops plans and schedules based on these predictions.
    • Implement Test Automation leveraging test automation frameworks.
    • Executes and reports on planned tests, report and manage defects, regress software fixes for new and existing products, assist development with replicating and debugging problems and develop new test automation solutions as needed.
    • Coach and mentor QA Analysts in modern approaches for execution of testing efforts.
    • Architect, implement and manage automated suites of black-box and white-box test scripts.
    • Research, Develop and/or Recommend tools to assist QA Analysts in test planning, execution, and reporting.
    • Utilize tools such as code coverage tools to assess the coverage of test suites and make recommendations for additional test cases.
    • Lead monitoring of test execution across multiple code branches and multiple platforms and performing code reviews.
    • Management and maintenance of Test Environments.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
    • ITIL Foundation/ ISTQB / ISTQB Agile Tester Certification / Certified Test Engineer (CSTE) / Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) / Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST) / CMSQ (Certified Manager of Software Quality) is required.
    • Certification in PRINCE II (Practitioner) / AgilePM / PMI-ACP / Certified Agile Project Manager (IAPM) / Certified Scrum Master (CSM) will be added advantage.
    • Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in software development with at least 3 years in test automation.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.

    Software Quality Assurance Analyst

    The Position: 

    The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will perform quality reviews on business requirements, develop standardized testing methods and strategies, lead execution of functional and non-functional tests and implementing quality testing and reporting processes to track and ensure adherence to quality software development process and products.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Champion and coordinate business requirements reviews across functional teams and ensures that the business requirements are complete, precise and testable.
    • Works with project team to define and create overall project test strategy/test plan, plan test schedules or strategies and Identifies test resources, estimates test effort in accordance with project scope or delivery dates and ensures that the test strategy is achieved.
    • Develop, document, and maintain functional and non-functional test cases, test scripts and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
    • Works collaboratively with the business units and project teams to execute and validate test cases based upon business requirements and ensures that the test cases are traceable to the requirements. In collaboration with GEA and other critical stakeholders, tune the SQA processes, adopt tools and define re-usable templates in-line with the adoption and maturity of the SQA Framework. Define test process including required test activities and deliverables, conduct Test Readiness Assessment, establish test beds, and ensure that test beds are available for all planned white box and black box testing activities.
    • Engages, champions, and collaborates with technical teams / personnel in non-functional testing including integration, regression, load, performance, security, and usability testing.
    • Prepare, share, and review test results periodically, report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws and develop test acceptance reports for projects and software changes.
    • Works with business units to perform post deployment sanity and regression tests and post-implementation review within defined period to confirm that the deployed solution works as per the business requirements.
    • Participates in formulation and Implementation of Software process improvement policies and strategies for IT division.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in preferably in Business or IT related field.
    • Certification in Project Management or ITIL or ISTQB Foundation or ISTQB Agile Tester or Certified Test Engineer (CSTE) or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) or Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST) or Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ).
    • 4 years’ experience in Software Quality Assurance & IT Projects.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    The Position: 

    Relationship Management' Department primarily role is to serve as the linkage between the Technology Division and the rest of the Bank. The Department role is to foster communication and collaboration between Technology and other teams and serves as the lead role in enabling the Bank to achieve their objectives through the effective use of Technology.

    The purpose of this role is responsible for bridging the gap between Technology and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders.     • Support the demand manager to provide ways and means to optimize the change delivery pipeline providing stakeholder visibility and ensuring efficient delivery.
    • Monitor IT Change Demand pipeline ensuring constraints are identified and flagged for action by relevant stakeholders.
    • Provide support to the stakeholders to entrench Agile Change management process and monitoring the performance of change against expected benefits.
    • Create awareness and continuous educate on the change management processes, policies, guidelines, and stakeholder roles in the process.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Business Technology/ Statistics or related field from a recognized university.
    • Certification in both ITIL Foundation and PRINCE2 or PMP.
    • 3 years technology experience with at least 3 years’ experience in:
    • At least two IT disciplines such as (Project Management, Service Management, Agile Software Delivery, IT Governance, and IT Support in a multitier environment).
    • Leading formal Change Management framework.

    Wealth Advisor

    The Position:

    The role holder will assist in the development and growth of Wealth Management business, through all sales channels in KCB Bank group, to meet annual budget revenue targets by effectively driving all internal and external sales teams. He/she will make sure that the organizational footprint in the market is prominent and in turn, generate sales and revenue by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products & services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Take responsibility for the business performance and delivery of set targets for KCB Capital Limited by providing effective leadership, motivation, marketing support and technical assistance to Branches and selected Relationship Managers.
    • Leverage key marketing initiatives being undertaken by the bank and KCB Capital Limited in the region while working closely with the branch management teams to spot opportunities for KCB Capital Limited Wealth business.
    • To ensure a planned and systematic growth in Wealth revenue generation through the Wealth sales strategies, branch, and direct sales channels in the Bank network. 
    • Maintain strong working relationships with the bank branch managers for acquisition of new investment customers. 
    • Function as point of contact for customer support and ensure queries are resolved in a timely and professional manner. 
    • To liaise with department heads and sales managers of sales channels in the bank and work towards a planned and sustainable growth of Wealth business throughout the region. 
    • To guide KCB Capital Limited Wealth team, sales, direct sales, and branch channel teams to cross sell opportunities across departments and KCB group. 
    • To build an effective sales culture and a multi-product sales environment in the team through strong sales and relationship management principles and practices. 
    • Direct marketing to certain clients and co-marketing with Relationship Managers Deliver solutions/proposals which lead to action by clients Promote higher share of wallet from clients.
    • To formulate sales and marketing plans/strategies on a monthly and annual basis. Formulate sales budgets, sales presentation in the designated branches/ regions. 

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Must have a University Degree preferably in a business-related field. 
    • Must have CISI or Equivalent Certification.
    • A Master’s degree/ CPA /ACCA or equivalent accounting qualifications will be an added advantage.
    • At least 3 years’ progressive experience preferably in a similar role with at least 3 years’ experience in business development and 2 years’ experience in sales force management all at a national level.
    • Knowledge of Investment Banking products, financial services sales processes, the data protection act, latest market trends as well as challenges. 
    • Sound technical understanding of the regulatory/operating environment with respect to the Capital Markets Authority and financial services.
    • Sound understanding of Wealth Management and knowledge of internal business controls. 
    • Demonstrable cross-cultural, people/stakeholder/executive relationship management skills, team motivation and leadership competence.
