    Automotive Workshop Manager-Meru

    Job Summary:

    • The Workshop Manager oversees maintenance activities, ensures safety compliance, and enhances system reliability. Responsibilities include budget management, contractor supervision, technical guidance, and KPI achievement. Strong leadership and communication skills are vital.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Approve documentation of all maintenance activities.
    • Create improvement plans for maintenance processes.
    • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Implement improved maintenance regimes to enhance the reliability of bus systems.
    • Lead technical recovery, complex fault analysis, and testing of vehicle systems.
    • Oversee the overall implementation of the bus fleet maintenance regime.
    • Manage the annual department budget.
    • Supervise multiple contractors to ensure safety requirements, operating standards, and quality standards are met.
    • Manage workshop performance to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams.
    • Recommend vendors based on proposal evaluation and cost.
    • Review and approve maintenance schedules and manpower plns.
    • Review audits on maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations.

    Requirements Education:

    • Diploma in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years in a workshop environment.
    • Supervisory or managerial experience is highly desirable.

    Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, diagnostics, repair procedures, and maintenance practices.
    • Proficiency in diagnostic equipment, tools, and software systems.

    Leadership Skills:

    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills for managing a team of technicians and mechanics.

    Problem-Solving Abilities:

    • Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.

    Communication Skills:

    • Effective communication for coordinating tasks, providing instructions, and interacting with customers and stakeholders.

    Vehicle Service Mechanic-Meru

    Job Summary:

    • As a Vehicle Service Mechanic, you'll apply your expertise in automotive technology, diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues efficiently. With a focus on attention to detail and problem-solving skills, you'll ensure vehicles receive top-notch maintenance, meeting the highest standards of quality and reliability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspecting and diagnosing engine and part faults.
    • Fitting, testing, and servicing motor vehicles and motorcycle engines.
    • Replacing engine components or complete engines.
    • Examining, adjusting, dismantling, and rebuilding defective parts of motor vehicles.
    • Installing or adjusting motors, brakes, and steering systems.
    • Installing, adjusting, and replacing mechatronics components of motor vehicles.
    • Performing scheduled maintenance services for smoother vehicle operation and pollution regulation compliance.
    • Reassembling engines and parts after repair.
    • Inspecting and repairing electrical systems.
    • Conducting diagnostic tests and road tests.

    Requirements

    • Education: a certificate or diploma in automotive technology from a recognized technical or vocational institution.
    • Experience: a minimum of one year in the automotive environment.
    • Skills: Mechanics should possess a diverse set of technical skills, encompassing the ability to diagnose vehicle issues, execute repairs and maintenance tasks proficiently, and effectively utilize various tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential.
