    Head of Employee Relations

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead the definition of the company ER Strategies and the ER team in collaboration of the HR team and managers to implement them in line with the company culture, policies and the law
    • Create and streamline standards for creating a great working environment, including equipping managers on how to execute this responsibility,
    • Participate in Group wide initiatives that are intended to create alignment of the subsidiaries to Group standards
    • Strong leadership skills to initiate and manage technical HR changes and to nurture and sustain employee engagement within the ER Unit.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in the fields of either social sciences, business or law
    • At least 6 years’ experience with preferably 3 years practicing Law with a bias towards Labour Relations and 4 years working experience in a busy/ commercial HR environment
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Law – Kenya School of Law
    • Master of Business Administration OR Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management
    • Member of IHRM and/or a similar renowned HR professional body.

    Skills/ Experience Required:

    • Deep knowledge of Employment legislation and case law across East and Central Africa
    • Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving skills

    Head of Talent Management

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Build talent pipelines for current and future job openings.
    • Mange our external partnerships with universities, ELPs, Job boards and recruitment firms.
    • Implement online and offline employer branding
    • Prepare and review annual recruitment plans taking into account business growth plans.
    • Implement processes that oversee all stages of candidate experience ranging from application to onboarding including communication.
    • Enhance productivity through effective design and implementation of identified Talent programs.
    • Develop creative and innovative talent acquisition strategies – this includes appropriate marketing, planning and building a diverse talent pipeline.
    • Build a positive candidate experience, managing candidate’s expectations and maintaining relationships for those candidates who are not selected at present against a particular skill set, for future prospects.

    • Work with talent partners & business leaders to identify talent gaps, the existing talent capabilities and future requirements and develop an overarching Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Mobility philosophy.
    • Facilitate effective implementation of the Performance Management system - in conjunction with Talent Partners, deploy the end-to-end Performance management system including the appropriate plans for the various talent classifications within budget/timeframe.
    • Ensure whole PM process is managed in the PM system and the link between pay and performance is maintained.
    • Responsible for maintaining an up to date job evaluation and maintenance of organisation structures that reflects business reality

    Qualifications:
     

    • Undergraduate degree in business related field
    • Professional qualifications in HR from a recognised professional body
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in HR Generalist role in a medium to large sized organisation at a senior level.
    • Demonstrable experience managing full cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives
       

    Skills/ Experience Required:

    • Financial services, Banking and Technology industry experience
    • Hands on experience with Applicant tracking Systems
    • In-depth understanding of labour legislation in Kenya and sub-Saharan Africa.

    Payroll Manager

    Job Responsibilities

    • Ensure the payroll timetable runs on time
    • Ensure accuracy of changes with all required approvals
    • Check the payroll runs as a first approver
    • Prepare audit schedules for both internal and external auditors during audits to ensure audit is done and completed within the time stipulated
    • Manage internal controls proactively through the Operational Risk framework and ensuring self- checks are done periodically. Escalate potential issues in a timely manner for resolution
    • Contribute to process improvement by participating in a range of payroll and service delivery reform activities
    • Train subsidiary payroll teams and carry out process standardization exercises

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in the fields of accounting/finance, social sciences, business
    • At least 4 years’ experience in a busy HR environment running payroll for different countries
    • CPA K / ACCA is desired
    • Member of IHRM and/or a similar renowned HR professional body is an added advantage.

    Skills/ Experience Required

    • Subject matter expertise (on HR systems, Processes, pay & employment legislation in Kenya & subsidiaries, HR policy & Procedures, Financial controls policy, Operational Risk)

    •  Keen to prevent and solve problems
