    Chief People Officer

    Our People team thinks and acts globally. We have fewer than 1,000 colleagues, but we live in more than 60 countries. We are seeking an exceptional People leader who brings significant experience leading a global team. Exposure to Senior Leadership teams and C-Suite level is essential for this role together with an analytical approach and sharpness interpreting data trends and themes. We are looking for a lead with an analytical approach, a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret data trends and themes.

    Key responsibilities

    • Work with Canonical's CEO & COO to define our long term global People strategy
    • Lead innovation and execution in talent planning, succession, assessments and HR processes
    • Shape performance management, organisational design and workforce planning
    • Drive employee engagement, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
    • Lead research to understand the trends shaping the ways our employees work
    • Use data to increase productivity across a global, remote first, organisation
    • Deliver compliant HR operations in a timely manner and with the highest degree of accuracy
    • Oversee our HR technology landscape, driving automation and process improvements
    • Ensure our employee value proposition remains relevant, attractive and meaningful

    Required Skills And Experience

    • Degree qualified & HR certified (CIPD / SHRM etc)
    • An experienced People Lead from a global environment in the technology sector
    • Demonstrated experience of international HR partnership at a senior level, including C-Suite
    • Deep knowledge and practical application of HR practices and employment law
    • HR policy leadership in major economic areas such as the US, Canada, EU, Japan
    • Strong proficiency in data and analytics
    • Fluent in business English

    Sales Operations Analyst

    The success of the role is measured against increasing the velocity of deals and the quality of CRM data used to drive key business decisions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver and team player who is passionate about the opportunity to partner with sales leadership, is also passionate about our role in the technology industry bringing open source to a wider audience of innovators and enterprises, and will design and drive programs in support of Canonical's continued success.

    Key responsibilities

    • Support all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the sales function globally
    • Review opportunities for accuracy and provision orders on successful closure of a deal
    • Support the Sales Operations Manager to improve sales data quality and processes
    • Report on data quality metrics to executive level stakeholders
    • Implement NPS surveys and define metrics for executive level stakeholders
    • Support the sales team globally on CRM and other sales operations systems
    • Deliver sales metrics, dashboards and other ad-hoc analytical tasks
    • Lead automation and streamline the Lead to Order process

    Beneficial Skills And Experience

    • Experience in a sales operations/sales order processing role
    • Experience in a technology subscription-based business
    • Experience driving data quality improvement
    • Energetic, thoughtful, systematic approach, focused on robust, repeatable and scalable outcomes
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to work productively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization on a global scale
    • Ability to manage across boundaries and communicate effectively
    • Experience working with Sales, Legal, Finance and Marketing teams
    • Experience with Salesforce CRM

    Product Manager, Enterprise Support

    Product managers at Canonical must be confident presenters, speakers and writers, capable of generating interest and excitement in our innovation and products. We are data-driven and content-centric. Product performance is closely measured and this team participates in regular reviews with company leadership. You will join a growing team and help shape the message across our suite of products, with a particular focus on enterprise support and services.

    Key responsibilities

    • Product manager for enterprise support for a broad scope of open source services, including infrastructure, Ubuntu OS, and applications
    • Ensure alignment across stakeholders
    • Generate leads by producing compelling, high-quality content
    • Deliver sales training and sales collateral
    • Be the voice of the customer
    • Identify growth opportunities

    Valued Skills And Experience

    • Industry knowledge of the enterprise open source support market
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills
    • Commercial astuteness for pricing and product strategy
    • Knowledge of Linux and Ubuntu in data center environments
    • Understanding of physical compute - servers, networking, storage
    • Understanding of open source applications - such as Kafka, Cassandra, MongoDB, NGINX, PostgreSQL, Tomcat
