    General Manager – Legal, Insurance

    Description

    We are looking for a senior manager to serve a legal adviser to the insurance subsidiaries of Equity Group Holdings Plc. You will be expected to provide legal advice and strategies to the organisation, facilitate the group’s business strategies development and limit risk exposure. You will also be expected to work closely with other members of the organisation to provide legal and strategic guidance in the insurance business of the group.
     
    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Managing, drafting, negotiating, reviewing and closing various legal contracts
    • Preparing legal opinions and providing strategic advice to the business
    • Managing, drafting and reviewing various policies and procedures, regulations, bylaws and other legal documents
    • Setting the organisation's internal governance policies
    • Crafting and reviewing legal strategy in response to any litigation
    • Managing the organisations legal matters
    • Keeping abreast of new and existing laws and trends relevant to the organisation’s operations
    • Keeping a record of all legal documents and proceedings for the company
    • Handling statutory filings other statutory requirements
    • Communicating with external parties (regulators, external counsel, clients, stakeholders etc)

    • Qualified as an Advocate in Kenya
    • Masters’ degree in any discipline

    Communication Officer – Web Management Officer

    The Position

    We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in web content management, writing and editing for the web, intranet as well as support of other digital channels of the Bank.

    Reporting to the Associate Director Communications and working closely with the team in the Communication and Advertising Department, the role holder will be responsible for coordinating the writing, editing, and proofreading site content and will work closely with the technical, IT and InfoSec team to maintain website standards. The website management officer will also be responsible for coordinating the creation of site promotions, email newsletters and online outreach campaigns. The content officer will work closely with technical, business development and communication and advertising teams
     
    Key Responsibilities

    • Take a lead role in the maintenance and development of the websites, intranets and other digital communications channels
    • Coordinate web projects across departments
    • Use SEO tactics and CMS to maximize search rankings, optimize content, and analyze user engagement
    • Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties working closely with relevant teams across the Group
    • Work closely with technical teams (IT, InfoSec and Dev team) to maintain site standards
    • Work with a cross-departmental teams, maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties
    • Keep current with emerging web technologies and apply the same to the Bank's web properties Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference
    • Track and report on all site metrics to measure effectiveness (usage, adoption, and reach), and user engagement.
    • Create, coordinate, and deliver the creative content functionality of the website and intranet, microsites, etc.
    • Proactively ensure website copy is current and up-do date and manage the web updating
    • Work cooperatively with key team members and vendors

    Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

    • University degree in computer science or relevant field
    • Advanced knowledge of content management systems HTML, database management and network systems
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
    • 3-5 years' experience managing content and production for high traffic websites
    • Passion for emerging online platforms as key business drivers

    Communication Officer – Digital Marketing

    Description

    The holder of this role will be part of a team that develops and integrates digital content marketing strategies. The duties of the role will include planning and managing of digital marketing campaigns that promote the company's brand, products, and services.

    Key Duties and responsibilities

    • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
    • Research on emerging online marketing including mobile, social media, and other digital channels
    • Coordinate the design, build and maintain our social media presence
    • Contribute to social media engagement and brand awareness campaigns
    • Creation and execution of email based marketing campaigns
    • Prepare accurate reports on our marketing campaign’s overall performance.
