    Financial Analyst (Accounting), BRAC International Holdings B.V

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work as the focal person for an assigned set of BIHBV entities/ countries.
    • Review and analyze financial data (such as monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts) of assigned entities, analysing past results and performing variance analyses to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements to reduce costs and improve financial performance
    • Support the country finance teams in monthly closing and provide guidance on accounting entries and IFRS (as required)
    • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data with the management information system (MIS) and financial information
    • Ensure all required investor and donor financial reports are submitted on time as well as monitoring compliance with financial stipulations/covenants of those same investors and donors
    • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and dashboards
    • Gather, summarize and present data for reports on financial status and risks, as requested by management
    • Provide invoices for management service fees to countries and support country finance teams in reconciling related entity payables and receivables
    • Assist the country finance teams in finalising their annual external audit and any government or regulatory audits without any major observations
    • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analyses to support decision-making by management
    • To accomplish any other duties as delegated by supervisors.

    • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

    • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Finance/Accounting/ Economics
    • Candidates currently studying or recently received certification in Recognised Professional Qualifications in Accounting may apply.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Competencies:

    • Knowledge of accounting and finance gained either through studies or professional experience, with knowledge of accounting standards in BIHBV countries of operation, particularly the Netherlands, an advantage;
    • Proficiency with MS Office, including strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions, with the ability to produce compelling presentations in PowerPoint an advantage;
    • Strong research, analysis and data-gathering skills;
    • Strong interpersonal/ communication skills, particularly in English;
    • Ability to take initiative and independent decisions.

    Experience Requirements:

    • Graduates with 1-3 years of experience working in an accounting function, such as with a commercial organization or NGO;
    • Experience of working for (or a demonstrable desire to work for) an organization whose mission is to provide a range of financial services responsibly to people at the bottom of the pyramid with a focus on women living in poverty in rural and hard-to-reach areas;
    • Experience working with the finance module of ERP systems;
    • Experience working in or with emerging or frontier markets;
    • Experience in the above within a financial institution, particularly an MFI, will be an added advantage.

    Financial Analyst (Treasury), BRAC International Holdings B.V

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Take ownership of budgeting and forecasting tools for BIHBV, BIFBV and select MFI entities, working closely with the Treasury Manager, Investment Manager, and in-country finance teams for inputs, and analysing and presenting outputs on a twice-yearly basis
    • Review and analyse budgets and forecasts for the other MFI entities working closely with the Analysts from the accounting team (country focals)
    • Support the Treasury Manager with the development of financial risk analysis tools and take ownership of those tools
    • Undertake research and analysis into potential investment opportunities for surplus funds at the direction of the Treasury Manager
    • Support the Investment Manager with management of and communications with existing investors, including working with Analysts from the accounting teams in respect of getting the necessary inputs for quarterly reporting materials
    • Support the Investment Manager with outreach to potential new investors, including researching and developing investor lists, producing outreach materials, and scheduling meetings and taking notes
    • Support the Investment Manager and Finance Director, BIHBV, through investment and transaction processes with investors
    • Undertake other duties as delegated by supervisors.

    Experience Requirements:

    • Graduates with 1-3 years of experience working in a corporate finance or corporate-finance-related role, such as with an investment bank, consultancy/ advisory firm, financial institution, investment organization, commercial organization or possibly an NGO;
    • Experience of working for (or a demonstrable desire to work for) an organization whose mission is to provide a range of financial services responsibly to people at the bottom of the pyramid with a focus on women living in poverty in rural and hard-to-reach areas;
    • Experience working in or with emerging or frontier markets;
    • Experience in microfinance will be an added advantage.

    Manager, Knowledge Management and Programme Development, ECD & Education

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage education and ECD project communication and coordination, liaising with country teams to track deliverables while utilizing and strengthening internal BI systems including salesforce to improve internal and external relationship management, capturing, organizing and disseminating lessons learned effectively.
    • Guide education/ECD country program/project manager(s) in the development and tracking of professional project work plans, deliverables, and task assignments, cascading information to relevant stakeholders and following up on concerns actively.
    • Actively support country teams in the preparation and drafting of education and ECD donor reporting, communicating and cascading information between multiple BRAC entities; collate education/ECD grant and project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary. materials are current, properly electronically filed and shared with all relevant stakeholders
    • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing through defining, supporting and encouraging the use of systematized BI procedures related to communication and knowledge management, supporting project workflows.
    • With guidance from technical leads, support country teams to write high-quality project proposals, and develop logical frameworks, work plans, budgets etc. in collaboration with resource mobilization and programme development teams.
    • Support BI education/ECD team and relevant country teams in preparing knowledge products such as: blogs, case studies, reports etc.
    • Organize programme meetings and ensure detailed notes with action items and next steps are taken during BRAC International country ECD and education meetings. Cascade relevant information and actively engage all requisite follow up in a timely manner.
    • Organize and provide updated reports to technical leads on Education and ECD sector planning and donor landscape development across countries to inform BI programme design and strategy.
    • Engage with country teams in collecting and organizing an accessible knowledge bank of education documents including national curriculums, policies, and internal guidance/learning from country education and ECD leads.
    • Work with country teams to plan and organize logistics, including travel, budgeting and procurement for technical trainings, conferences and events remotely and when required in countries.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

    • Experience working in multiple country contexts with a keen understanding of effective intercultural communication

    Experience Requirements:

    • At least 5 years’ experience working for I/NGOs or with governments in Education, ECD, or Grants/Fundraising
    • At least 4 years of project/programme management experience
    • Progressively successful experience in at least two of the following areas related to education: education/ECD grant administration and management, fundraising, programme development, monitoring, and advocacy.
