    Talent Analyst

    About the role:

    The talent analyst will support the Andela talent team in analysing historic, current and predictive date. The analyst is driven to automate and standardize reporting processes. A lover of numbers and a creator of easily digestible dashboards and reports. The individual is able to interpret information gathered from data to drive managerial decisions within the talent team and across other supporting departments

     

    Role & Responsibilities

    • Data organization and analysis
    • Clean and organize raw data into usable formats.
    • Craft dashboards for the organization to be able to seamlessly and simply view, interpret, and make decisions based on historical data and emerging trends
    • Drive the production and distributions of weekly, monthly and quarterly recruitment reports/dashboards and communicate to team and upper management
    • Systems creation and standardization
    • Create core templates and guidelines around organizational best practice for standardized active sourcing and interview templates
    • Analyses complex processes or operation in order to improve efficiency in recruitment
    • Use historic, current and predictive data to identified opportunities to improve talent sourcing across technology and non technology roles
    • Data templates and compliance
    • Promoting and ensuring adoptions of standard forms, variable naming practices, and use of systems
    • Developing guidelines and templates for best practices
    • Ensuring team-wide understanding and adherence to data best practices

    Guest Relations and Travel Intern

The Guest Relations and Travel intern will offer support to the department in managing logistics around the key aspects of incoming and outgoing travel.

     

    Role and Responsibilities

    TRAVEL

    Outgoing Travel

    (International)

    • Assist in liaising with all other Andela Centers to ensure that adequate notice is given for all scheduled travel
    • Help in ensuring that the intended personnel traveling has all necessary documentation required for travel
    • Arranging and follow-up for all necessary documentation and requirements to facilitate travel, e.g. Passports, Invite letters, Visas, Yellow fever, Tickets, Insurance etc.
    • Experience in dealing with processing of passports and visas is not a requirement but would be an added advantage.
    • Liaising with all departments to ensure the travelling personnel has everything they need for purposes of their travel.
    • Liaising with other centers to ensure they are prepared to receive the travelling personnel.
    • Incoming Travel
    • Helping to ensure we give the different centers adequate support to facilitate the travel of their personnel or proposed guests to Andela Kenya on request.
    • Assisting in receiving all incoming guests and ensuring that we can cater for all special needs as and when they come in.
    • Following up with guests to ensure they complete surveys that can guide us on how and where to improve.

    GUEST RELATIONS

    • Updating the guest schedule
    • Updating departments and/or personnel that may be required to provide support in ensuring the success of a visit.
    • Assisting in Internal communication to the Andela Kenya community on oncoming guests
    • Any other duties as may be assigned

    Software Development-Lead Facilitator

    In this role you will nurture that expertise by daily investing in the next generation of African technology leaders to gain the skills needed to be globally employable software developers.

    Role-specific Responsibilities:

    • Drive teams of software developers (junior and senior) to rapidly develop great software products
    • Inspire and Mentor aspiring Software Developers and Software Development Learning Facilitators

    • The ideal candidate for the role MUST have experience with the following:
      • Minimum 4 years working experience (or equivalent experience with multiple professional software development product teams) in Full-stack Software Development
        • JS (Node/Angular/Meteor/React)
        • Python (Flask/Django)
        • Ruby (Rails)
        • Mobile Development (Android/iOS)
        • PHP
        • Go
      • Experience with Agile Software Development Techniques and Tools
        • SCRUM/Kanban/Extreme Programming
        • Trello/Pivotal Tracker/Zenhub
        • Version Control (Github/Bitbucket)
        • TDD
        • Continuous Integration
        • Docker/Vagrant
      • Leading teams to build and deploy Professional Software Products
      • Relational/Business/People/Soft Skills experience
      • EPIC Values alignment
      • Demonstrable commitment to the learning & development of people and technology
      • The ability to learn new things fast whilst delivering value on it simultaneously
    • Other desirable skills that it would be nice for an ideal candidate to have experience in include:
      • Software Development Instructional Design

      • Mentorship or Coaching in Software Engineering
