    I.T Assistant

    Job Purpose:

    Assisting in all daily IT operations, including but not limited to asset maintenance, IT operation reporting and data entry, capacity planning, product evaluation and recommendation, hardware installation and troubleshooting, end-user and staff IT support and training, in accordance with business requirements and SABIS®standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining asset records.
    • Ensuring asset maintenance, including but not limited to:
      • Maintenance of all of the school’s IT equipment on a regular basis
      • Repair of equipment based on need (e.g., computers, laptops, tablets)
      • Installation of application and software maintenance (MS Office, Outlook, and other Office applications as and when requested with approval)
    • Accurately documenting instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
    • Carrying out capacity planning to meet future computer hardware needs.
    • Conducting research on computer products in support of PC procurement and development efforts.
    • Evaluating and recommending hardware products for purchase.
    • Writing technical specifications for purchase of PCs and related products, in conjunction with the IT Administrator.
    • Recommending, scheduling, and performing PC, hardware, and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
    • Liaising with, and providing training and support to, end users and staff on computer operation and other issues.
    • Troubleshooting end-user hardware, not limited to tablets and PCs.
    • Handling application management.
    • Conducting reporting and data entry.
    • Providing desk help.
    • Providing support in all daily IT operations.
    • Training and inducing staff, students, and parents as needed.
    • Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of the Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs) and E-books.
    • Covering all IT aspects of the Interactive Learning System (ILS).
    • Performing other support functions.

    Ideal Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    • Cisco certification or MCITP is preferred
    • English proficiency is required, local language is preferred
    • Experience in MS Operating Systems, MS Office needed components, Active Directory, Server, User Management, Networks and Network Security, and Database Management Systems

    French Coordinator

    Job Purpose:

    Training teachers in the specific subject matter and maintaining teaching consistency using the SABIS® methodologies and systems. Analysing results to identify weakness within the subject matter and areas where teachers need to improve. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Managing a teacher substitution for absent staff to ensure that classes are being taught according to the lesson plans
    • Checking SABIS® AMS  results and analysing students’ performance, following-up on failed concepts and any errors that may have occurred during the testing sessions
    • Conducting class observations on a daily basis to ensure that the SABIS® point system is being applied as well as providing feedback to the teachers on their performance
    • Meeting with the relevant staff to check on students’ progress and develop action plans to improve results further
    • Following up on teachers’ complaints with the AQC and or School Director
    • Assigning marking and managing timetables for teachers in order to ensure an equal distribution of workload
    • Ensuring that all teaching materials (pacing charts, sample questions, basic questions, lesson plans, exam TTs etc…) are available for teacher usage
    • Conducting the performance appraisals of the teachers in coordination with the AQC(s), developing and following up on improvement plans
    • Reviewing and/or suggesting the teachers’ classroom assignment at the beginning of the year for the different classes in order to make sure we have the most suitable teacher in each section
    • Conducting teacher training workshops to improve their subject knowledge and teaching methods for specific concepts while using the SABIS® system
    • Providing feedback to the regional centre on pacing charts, exams, curriculum etc.
    • Organizing and managing in coordination with AQCs and SLC the academic support sessions for the academically weak students
    • Ensuring that all teachers are following the pacing charts in a timely manner and developing action plans for those who are falling behind
    • Ensuring that all classrooms displays, corridors are well kept , updated and appropriate
    • Ensuring that students receive their exam schedules, revision material, SABIS® AMS , periodic and final study list as per the pacing chart
    • Submitting weekly report to the School Director and AQC regarding the teachers’ performance  
    • Planning periodic exams schedules in conjunction with AQCs and the Regional Centre to ensure all exams are being conducted in the appropriate timings and the right frequency
    • Performing such other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the SABIS® school management.

    Ideal Requirements:

    • Bachelor degree in French with a masters in Education
    • Good command of English is a must
    • Highly competitive in written and spoken French is a must
    • minimum 3 years (is preferred but not a must) SABIS® experience

    French Teacher

    Job Purpose:

    Enabling the success of students and helping in academic achievement to reach their potential through the implementation of the SABIS® curriculum and philosophy and through the consistent use of the SABIS® teaching methodology.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Teaching using the provided lesson plans (may also be asked to develop such plans based on provided pacing charts as relevant and needed) for their subject(s) in order to be able to teach using the SABIS® point system.
    • Marking of exams related to their subject matter in accordance with the schedule and material provided by the department.
    • Discussing disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and head of department (HOD) as needed.
    • Implementing the SABIS® point system to ensure an environment conducive to learning in the classroom.
    • Providing support by invigilating exams as needed in an adequate and properly managed exam environment.
    • Providing support for the academically low performing students, to help improve and get motivated to reach their potential.
    • Develop and/or follow external exams preparation by going through past papers as planned in the structured revision schedule (When applicable to specific grade).
    • Aiding in duties that may include testing children, substituting for absent teachers, organizing children for lunches and buses, controlling traffic (vehicles and people), and other administrative duties that may be assigned to him/her by the school SABIS® management.
    • Preparing and participating in activity plans for all such student life related events such as but not limited to art, open house and physical education in coordination with the student life coordinator.
    • Attending training sessions when needed and as per the request of school management in order to enhance their understanding of the SABIS® system improving their performance
    • Performing such other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the school SABIS® management.

    Ideal Requirements:

    • Bachelor degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent
    • French Proficient/Native French Speaker
    • MS Office needed components
    • Communication Skills
    • Ability to work within a team
