    Head of Commercial _ E- Mobility

    • Know all things electric mobility - from battery supply chains to battery management system AI algorithms to future price curves to electric charger types to manufacturing assembly tax benefits
    • Be a key leader in defining the product strategic direction of M-KOPA's electric mobility business
    • Design, run, and iterate M-KOPA's electric vehicle and electric charging / swapping tests and feed that input back into product evolution
    • Manage M-KOPA's electric vehicle, charging infrastructure, and supply chain partners

    Human Resources Operations - Team Lead

    Job Purpose:

    As the HR Operations Team Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day management of HR contracts and documents, while also providing leadership and guidance to the HR Operations team.

    Your focus will be on enhancing transactional efficiency, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality service to our employees in all our markets (KE, UG, GH,NG).

    You will work closely with the Senior Manager - Shared Services to drive impactful initiatives that enhance transactional efficiency in HR operations while at the same time coach and mentor the junior team.

    What you will do:

    • Supervise the HR Operations team, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback to drive individual and team success. 
    • Responsible for overseeing and handling day-to-day processes such as system updates, letter generation, and contract renewals, while also assisting in the management of cyclical events such as compensation adjustments for all our markets.
    • Implement strategies to foster a culture of ownership and accountability within the team, including defining roles, setting performance metrics, and implementing improvement initiatives. 
    • Drive continuous improvement in HR operations by optimizing processes, leveraging automation tools, and conducting regular audits to ensure efficiency and compliance. 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for data queries and issues, liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve data integrity. 
    • Manage contracts and documents related to HR operations, including vendor contracts, employee agreements, and compliance documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
    • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and Business Partners to align operational processes with strategic goals and evolving business needs. 
    • Oversee payroll operations, including coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. 
    • Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes, recommending updates to policies and procedures as needed to support organizational growth and compliance.

    Senior Lead - Inventory

    Job Purpose

    You will be responsible for leading a team of inventory and warehouse officers to manage and oversee inventory control and stock management within M-KOPA Warehouse. Your responsibilities are to ensure the efficient tracking, maintenance, and organization of inventory, as well as leading a team to achieve nil stock variances.

    You will report to the Warehouse Operations Manager. This is an on-site role in Nairobi, Central Business Park.

    Key Job Functions

    Inventory Tracking and Record-Keeping 

    • Ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels, both incoming and outgoing. This involves monitoring stock levels and making sure that the data on systems and trackers is up-to-date.
    • Conduct cycle counts, including researching and documenting inventory discrepancies, to identify root causes and propose solutions.
    • Coordinate the fulfillment of daily orders by ensuring proper stock supply planning from the Ready-For-Sale (RFS) and sourcing team and proper order planning for RFS's units
    • Leveraging inventory management systems in place to streamline processes and maintain accurate stock records at all times.
    • Own the creation of part numbers and descriptions on the inventory management systems.

    Optimize warehouse and storage 

    • Optimize inventory systems as well as warehouse layout to determine how quickly and easily accessible stock is for efficient picking methods.
    • Determine aged stock seating in the warehouse.
    • Implementing inventory control processes to minimize losses due to theft, damage, or obsolescence.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance inventory management efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards related to inventory management.
    • Reporting and documentation
    • Manage the inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
    • Generate reports on inventory performance, such as transactions, stock levels, and other relevant metrics, to inform decision-making.
    • Perform daily audits and publish daily reports to ensure the accuracy of system quantities in all warehouse locations.
    • Conducting weekly audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records and identify discrepancies.

    Supervisory responsibilities

    • Provide training and support to inventory officers to ensure they are knowledgeable about inventory processes and best practices.

    • Collaborate with the warehouse operations manager to provide performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

    Experience/ Skills & Competencies/ Licences & Certifications/ Education Required

    • 3 + years experience in managing logistical and warehouse operations
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • People leadership and management experience in any similar capacity
    • Deep understanding of Warehouse Management Systems
    • Good understanding of Kaizen to implement the 6s standards
    • Understanding raw material inventory and the movement of finished goods
    • Track record of hitting tight deadlines without compromising on quality of execution
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership and drive action
    • Integrity and openness, combined with a commitment to good governance
