    P1 Teacher(French/German)

    • Our client is a well-established school based in Kwale county. They are seeking to hire a qualified and experienced P1 Teacher(French/German) to join their school to be responsible for the development and growth of young children to develop their social skills in addition to teaching them basic education. The ideal candidate will instruct learners in activities that promote physical, social and intellectual growth.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    • To prepare and deliver high quality lessons in line with the school’s vision and mission.
    • To collaboratively develop unit and lesson plans for the curriculum
    • To ensure students acquire excellent knowledge and skills so that they make progress, achieve their targets and are prepared for the next stage of their careers
    • Produce documents such as Unit plans, Records of Work, Course outlines, class analysis etc.
    • Differentiate lessons in order to match learners’ needs
    • Involve the learners in different learning activities such as storytelling, role plays, numbers and letters recognition, etc.
    • Displaying learners’ work in the classroom to showcase their abilities and finished projects.
    • Facilitating occasional virtual meetings with parents to update them on learners’ progress.
    • Look after the children’s basic needs like feeding, wellbeing, and academic progress.
    • Plan regular excursions to expose them to different environments.
    • Monitor the learners attentively and make sure they remain safe around campus.
    • Observe the behavior of children and help them improve it by building self-confidence and teaching social values.
    • To guide learners with learning differences and behavioral challenges.
    • Guide learners on how to socialize with peers and encourage them to resolve small arguments independently.
    • Accompany them during activities such as swimming, dance and skating etc.
    • Teach the learners the importance of cleanliness and good manners.
    • Observe the learners’ capabilities and help them strengthen their core skills.
    • Manage and update the progress of children and create reports for parents.
    • Collaborate with the parents and communicate with them regularly regarding children’s performance on their diaries and electronically.
    • Keep the classrooms clean as per the health safety standards.
    • Accompany learners during transit to ensure their safety and comfort.

    Qualifications and Skills Requirement

    • A Bachelor’s of Education Degree in Primary education from a university recognized by the government of Kenya or hold a PTE Certificate (P1 certificate) from KNEC with two teaching subjects
    • Must be registered by the TSC
    • Teach foreign languages such as French or German
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching upper primary
    • A Primary trained teacher able to handle upper primary classes
    • Have a strong classroom management skill
    • A team player with good command in written and spoken English
    • Be conversant with CBC curriculum
    • Good knowledge of Childhood Development.
    • Passionate about 21st Century teaching skills and I.T. savvy.
    • Creative and good teaching / reading abilities.
    • Patient and hands on with children.
    • Good intra and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledgeable in modern pedagogy and demonstrable teaching practices.

    Our client is a leading paper and paper product importer & wholesaler starting operations in Kenya. They seek to hire a results-driven Senior Sales Executive to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Accountant – Distribution

    • Our client is a distributor of alcoholic beverages looking to hire a Financial Accountant who will be responsible for ensuring timely, efficient, and effective processing of accounting and financial management transactions.

    Responsibilities:

    Cash/Bank

    • Daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
    • Follow up on outstanding issues with the bank
    • Initiating bank transfer instructions for sign-off.

    Assets/Stock:

    • Fixed Asset Register – putting new purchases, custody of register, and updating of depreciation
    • Stock Asset account – Adhoc stock take. Reconcile physical stock in warehouse and vans against the financial system
    • GIT account – monitoring the stock in transit. Making the relevant entries on receipt of invoices and payment on purchase, clearing, and receipt of goods to the warehouse. Closing GIT on the arrival of stock to the warehouse
    • Monitoring actual cost vs budget and making adjustments in the books on receipt of full consignment to warehouse
    • Manage GIT supplier accounts ie Product suppliers, clearing and forwarding agents, and external warehousing.

    Procurement/Accounts Payable:

    • Ensuring duties and taxes are paid and that demurrage costs are not incurred as a result of payment delays.
    • Timely payment of Heineken supplier to avoid disruption of supply and minimize complaints
    • Reconcile monthly suppliers’ statements.
    • Observe the credit periods / limits
    • Payment when the bills fall due.
    • Accurate payment to the suppliers
    • Controlled costs
    • Adherence to SLA
    • Ensure procurement procedures are followed – check when paying
    • Ensure budgets / limits are adhered to.
    • Assist in Monitoring monthly usage of the supplies and advise accordingly
    • Keep an inventory records for the motor vehicle spare parts and reconcile on monthly basis.
    • Monitor costs as stipulated in the supplier’s contract.
    • Review the renewal period of the contracts.
    • Check Purchase Orders prepared by the payable accountant to ensure they are accurate and ensure they are approved by the Supply Chain Manager
    • Issuing Purchase Orders on approved quotations for major suppliers

    Accounts Receivable:

    • Confirm details, reconcile and post Salesmen and Agents daily reports
    • Daily balance VAT and ETR machines and exception report
    • Accounts receivable report for weekly sales meeting
    • Account receivable reconciliation and follow up for overdue accounts to be regularized.
    • Issuing credit memos which should be approved by the Financial Accountant
    • Issuing statements to customers
    • Monthly sales ledger reconciliation with output VAT
    • Audit and spot check on open invoices from field visits periodically
    • Ensure timely Collection of outstanding debts

    Production of Financial Reports & Management Accounts

    • P&L
    • Balance Sheet
    • Receivables ageing Analysis
    • Payables ageing analysis
    • Sales by Item analysis
    • Cash flow statements
    • Budget Vs Actual statements
    • Management accounts etc

    Payroll & Wages Reports

    • Prepare monthly Payroll by 11th of every month
    • Wages summary and payment.
    • Bank agent for collection of cash, statements and any other correspondence.
    • Back up of Finance ERPs.
    • Participate in Internal and External Audit.
    • Ensure all statutory are filed on time.
    • Produce weekly Bounced cheque report for the staff meetings.
    • Any other assignment by the management.

    Qualifications:

    • University Degree B.com (Finance/Accounting Options).
    • CPA K is a MUST.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
