    Logistics Coordinator (Locum)

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

    Reporting to the Manager – Security and Logistics, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating transport arrangements of the staff, facilitating parcels collection and delivery, and maintaining accurate record for vehicle movements, service dates and inspections.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Histology/Cytology Laboratory Technologist

    The position

    Histology/Cytology Laboratory Technologist / Kisumu

    Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the successful candidate will ensure provision of effective, efficient, and quality laboratory analytical services in the hospital.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Receive, process laboratory samples, and release accurate results in a timely manner following established procedures.
    • Assist the pathologist in the collection of histology and cytology specimens.
    • Process specimens using standard histological and cytological techniques, including fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
    • Participate in maintaining and monitoring quality assurance measures, including internal quality controls and proficiency testing, to ensure accurate and reliable results.
    • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Maintain detailed records and archives of laboratory procedures, test results, and other relevant data.
    • Maintain archives of histology and cytology specimens, slides, and histology blocks according to laboratory procedures.
    • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Stay abreast of new developments and advances in histology techniques and technologies through continuing education and professional development activities.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and standard requirements to sustain laboratory accreditation status.

    The requirements

    • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.
    • Higher National Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of three (3) years working experience in a busy medical laboratory
    • Experience in an accredited laboratory will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent skills and competency in histology and cytology.
    • Proficiency in other laboratory disciplines will be an added advantage.
    • Registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board. A current practice license is mandatory.
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    Head of Department - Modern Foreign Languages

    The position

    The Head of Department will be responsible of providing leadership and management of the Departmental unit across the school for the MYP, and DP programmes and communicate with the related areas in the Senior School.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Teaching Assistant

    The position

    The Teaching Assistant will be  responsible for supporting teachers and assisting students in Junior School with their educational and social development, both in and outside the classroom.

    Responsibilities & Roles:

    • To assist with planning of teaching and learning in the assigned classrooms under the mentorship / supervision of the class teacher.
    • To observe and develop strategies that embrace student inquiry and assist in the differentiation of activities to meet the needs of all students.
    • To assist the class teacher in authentic assessment of students, including the maintenance of records to track student progress.     • At least a diploma in Education and an Early Childhood Education training from a recognized institution.
