    JKIA Clinic Manager

    Brief Description        

    Purpose Statement: - The key purpose of this job is to support business operations by implementation of aviation health standards for KQ staff and guests and grow business enterprise on the passenger medical services. The incumbent will work in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals and operational teams to ensure the effective and efficient performance of the JKIA clinic and support business continuity.

    Detailed Description        
    Clinical and Passenger Medical Services

    • Undertake day-to-day clinical duties, e.g., walk-in clinic clients /patients and emergencies.
    • Ensure smooth customary workflow of the clinic.
    • Manage day-to-day medical support operations by ensuring the availability of supplies and proper functioning of medical equipment.
    • Assure readiness for rapid response to emergency medical conditions and casualties.
    • Manage the implementation of the full scope of Passenger Medical Services

    Business continuity

    • Ensure optimal support of business operations at JKIA related to health.
    • Medical Emergency Preparedness and Response
    • Focal person for delivery of Medical Emergency Preparedness and Support for JKIA and all KQ networks including Pandemic Preparedness.

    People Management

    • Manage the functional direction of clinical team providing services at the JKIA airport clinic.
    • Ensure effective supervision of clinic staff managing daily staff output.
    • Teamwork: Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.

     Administration

    • Reviews and Revise applicable SOPs to JKIA medical business.
    • Remains accountable to ensuring compliance to IATA, IOSA related guidelines in Aviation Health.
    • Responsible for ensuring that the clinic data is complies with data management MOH standards.
    • Participates and implements revenue growth initiatives for JKIA clinic.
    • Ensure complete and accurate inventory of drugs and medical supplies located at the clinics and monitor/supervise their usage.

     Capacity Building 

    • Participate in health education and addressing work environment and
    • occupational health issues for staff.
    • Ensure continuous skills and competence building for JKIA medical teams.
    • Liaise with key stakeholders in medical emergencies at our airports.
    • Maintains stakeholder relationships within JKIA ecosystem including Port Health and KAA in all matters airport health

     Business Operations

    • Support both JKIA and destination airports in passenger medical services as per ICA guidelines and Medical SOP.
    • Delegated responsibility to manage medical emergency preparedness and Response including pandemic response.
    • Key focal person in managing OTP related to KQ medical.
    • Maximizing revenue at JKIA services.
    • Lead, contribute to the development and review of JKIA clinic SOPs and keeping abreast of significant trends and public health events affecting aviation.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements        

    • Clinical degree with health care management
    • Demonstrable certification and experience in Emergency care; BLS, ACLS, PHTLS or ATLS, and /or aviation medicine practice

    Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance Officer

    Brief Description        

    To ensure the security of Kenya Airways information and Supporting infrastructure by putting in place measures, solutions, and processes to mitigate any information security risks. This role is responsible for implementing Technology Risk Management Framework related policies, guidelines, methodologies and best practice or initiatives.

    Detailed Description        

    • Implementation of the organizations cyber security strategy.
    • Perform system risk assessments for all solutions being delivered and facilitate the reporting of findings, formulation, and logging of management actions, and tracking and reporting of remediation efforts.
    • Ensure that change and incident management procedures are implemented and report on gaps noted for remediation.
    • Provide training and awareness to facilitate the embedment of secure coding standards, tools and processes within the development teams.
    • Ensure that the IT infrastructure and applications have adequate defense in depth controls put in place.
    • Review and ensure that all open issues identified by risk team, IT security applications and auditors are closed within the agreed time frame.
    • Keep up to date with, and understand, relevant laws and regulations such as data privacy laws

    Application Administrator DevSecOps

    Brief Description        

    The application administrator is responsible for ensuring availability, reliability, security and optimal performance of corporate systems and applications. S/he will achieve this by conducting daily monitoring, maintenance, user administration, backup processes and configuration optimization of the systems.     Commercial Planning Supervisor

    Manager, Platforms and Databases

    Brief Description        

    This role is responsible for leadership and delivery of a standardized enterprise-wide Data Centre, Platforms (on-Premises and Cloud) and Database for use across all Kenya Airways operations and sites.

    The role is to plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation and support of Data center Hardware, Platforms (Cloud and On-premises) and Databases. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing Data center hardware and software, as well as Cloud Platforms.

    This role is also responsible for data center (including data center facilities), data center Infrastructure, Cloud platforms, Databases and UPS power systems.

    Detailed Description        

    • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for databases and platforms administration and appropriate use of Data centers.
    • Practice asset management, including maintenance of Data Center component inventory, life cycle management and related documentation.
    • Managing the existing team that builds and administers the in-house servers (e.g. MS Active Directory, Virtualization, Databases, SAN and NAS). Provides “ownership” of problem through final resolution.
    • Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization’s network.
    • Conduct research and make recommendations on Platforms and Databases products, services, protocols, and standards in support of Equipment and services procurement and development efforts.
    • Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for Platforms and Databases projects and associated efforts.
    • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
    • Negotiate with vendors, outsource service providers, and contractors to secure Databases and platforms products and services.
    • Assess, approve, and administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
    • Manage and ensure effectiveness observers, including backup servers, Cloud platforms, Oracle Mini-cluster, and their associated operating systems. Responsible for on-site and off-site datacenters and Cloud platforms
    • Manage and ensure optimal operation of all Data Center hardware and equipment, including ACs, UPSs and DC generator.
    • Ensuring scalability, performance and resilience e platform and Databases, including adequate backups, disaster recovery etc., and ensuring the processes to respond to and resolve to incidents are defined and resourced 24x7.
    • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent changes in Platform and Database activities.
    • Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base.
    • Test Databases and Platforms performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining High Availability for Databases and Platforms.
    • Establishing and line managing a best-in-class team of Database administrators, Cloud specialists, and Datacenter Engineers.
    • Leading collaboration with the development teams, project management, IT service and support teams to support their activities, respond to their needs and incidents.
    • Coordinate development of the IT Continuity / Disaster Recovery Plans and Direct quarterly Data Centre disaster recovery testing by failing over to the secondary Data Centre and back.
    • Represent Technology department in the Business continuity Planning and Crisis Management committee that is responsible for business continuity in case of a disaster, major incident and/or crisis.

    Job Requirements        

    • Bachelor of Science in IT or related field
    • Qualifications in Microsoft, Oracle, VMware and Cloud Technologies
    • Experience with storage area networks, WAN acceleration, virtualization.
    • 7 years of relevant work/management experience
