    Senior Registered Nurse (Perioperative Nurse)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide skilled care and support during the preoperative journey;
    • Assessing, planning, implementation of nursing interventions and evaluating patient's outcomes;
    • Preoperative assessment of patient;
    • Receive, assess and deliver care on the patient's arrival into the post anesthetic care unit;
    • Monitor the patient's health and support them. providing appropriate care and treatment until the patient has recovered from the effects of the anesthesia and/or surgery and is stable:
    • Assess the patient in order to ensure they can be discharged back to a surgical ward area;
    • Evaluate the care given during the Preoperative phases (anesthetics, surgery, and recovery); and
    • Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Be holder of a Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized institution;
    • Must have an Advanced Diploma or a Higher Diploma in peri-operative
    • Registration certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;

    Audit Committee Member

    Duties/Responsibilities

    • Review clarity and completeness of financial statements and disclosures in relation to applicable rules and regulations;
    • Monitor effectiveness of the county performance management and performance information;
    • Provide strong and effective oversight of the county internal audit;
    • Provide effective liaison and facilitate communication between management and external audit
    • Ensure effectiveness of both internal and external audit

    Requirement for Appointment

    • To serve Members of the Audit Committee, the applicant must meet the following minimum qualifications:
    • Be a Kenyan citizen;
    • Possess at least an undergraduate degree from a recognized university;
    • Be a member and in good standing of at least one of the following professional bodies IIA, ICPAK, ICPSK, IAK, APSEA, ACFE, LSK or any other relevant professional body.

    • Demonstrate understanding of Article 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010

    Deputy Director Land Surveys

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Developing new land survey techniques and policies
    • Assessing human capacity development needs in line with the changing professional demands
    • Supervising research of new and emerging technologies
    • Verifying cadastral, adjudication, topographical, sub- divisional schemes, photo engineering surveys

    Deputy Director Land Valuation Services

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Enforcing relevant provisions of various statutes relating to valuation;
    • Undertaking Stamp Duty valuations;
    • Undertaking investigations on valuation disputes and appeals;
    • Generating, collecting and remitting revenue from valuation services;
    • Preparing valuation case briefs and responses to County assembly issues;

    Medical Specialist I (Medical Oncologist)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Performing complex and advanced clinical patient management in area of specialization
    • Coordinating training, coaching, and mentoring of health personnel
    • Managing health stores including essential medicines and/ or plant and equipment

    Chairperson - Machakos County Audit Committee

     Duties and Responsibilities

    • Set the agenda for each meeting with the committee members.
    • Arrange for a periodic review of the effectiveness of the audit committee.
    • Demonstrate independence and impartiality in decision-making, which accord with legal, constitutional, and policy requirements.
    • Provide clarification to members on the audit committee's responsibilities

    Requirement for Appointment

    • To serve as Chairperson of the AUDIT committee, the applicant must meet the following minimum qualification:
    • Be a Kenyan citizen.
    • Bachelor's degree in any of the following: Accounting, Auditing, Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting option) from a university recognized in Kenya.
    • Possession of relevant Master's degree will be an added advantage.
    • Have at least 10 years of experience in a senior management position, where their scope of work covered the entire organization they were working with.
    • Be a member and in good standing of at least one of the following professional bodies: IIA, ICPAK, ICPSK, IAK, APSEA, ACFE, LSK or any other relevant professional body.

    • Be an independent, proactive leader with confidence and high integrity.
    • Demonstrate competence in leadership and business management.
