The position is responsible to the Accountant I and will responsible for the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Record accounting transactions in the books;
ii. Balance books of accounts and records;
iii. Prepare accounting reports;
iv. Maintain and update Departmental files;
v. Process receipts and payments;
vi. Reconcile debtor and creditor accounts;
vii. Analyse project payments; and
viii. Carry out data analysis to support preparation of accounting reports.
Qualifications, Competencies and Experience required for appointment to this position:
i. Bachelors degree in Commerce or related discipline from a recognised institution
ii. CPA II/ACCA II;
iii. Four years of experience in a Finance and Accounts section for a medium-sized organization;
iv. Computer applications skills;
v. Demonstrated competence as reflected in work performance;
vi. Demonstrated honesty, confidentiality and integrity;
vii. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
