Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the position holder s, be responsible for
Key Performance Areas
1. Implementing financial policies
2. Developing and implementing internal controls
3. Preparing annual budgets and exerting control
4. Maintain debtor's accounts and updating receivable files in the financial system
5. Efficient management of accounts receivable through prompt invoicing, collection and maintenance of accurate records
6. Management of accounts payable and stores
7. Preparation of management and financial reports for receipts and payments on daily, monthly and quarterly basis
8. Undertaking of monthly bank reconciliations
9. Assist in the preparation of the end of year financial reports and preparation for audit
10. Monitoring depreciation of Society assets in accordance with the accounting standards
11. Management of the payment process by ensuring appropriate documentation and approval
12. Responsible for statutory compliance in both accounting and taxation Management of the payroll process
13. Maintaining the general ledger
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance from a recognised institution
• CPA (III) or its equivalent from a recognised institution
• Five (5) years relevant experience in accounting finance field
• Member of a professional body
• Computer literacy in financial systems, working with ERP system win be an added advantage
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
