responsAbility Renewable Energy Holding (rAREH): rAREH is a developer of renewable energy projects up to 50MW in Sub-Sahara Africa headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. It’s 17 people strong team of experienced investment professionals, project developers, engineers and E&S specialists are working on a sizeable portfolio.

For rAREH’s renewable Energy office in Nairobi, we are looking for a Principal

Your Main Tasks

• Managing, structuring and executing equity investments for renewable energy projects up to 50MW in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Arranging of debt financing, including negotiating and executing project finance documentation.
• Maintaining, establishing and managing relationships with lenders, regulators and government representatives.
• Pro-active deal sourcing by expanding and leveraging its own network as well as developing and supporting investment strategies.
• Internally you will work in dealteams consisting of technical and E&S people. You will be part of an investment team of 4 people.

Your Experience and Skills

• 5-8 years’ work experience with project finance and/or project development in Africa or other emerging markets
• A strong can-do mentality with strong problem solving and project management skills
• Particularly people from Africa are encouraged to apply
• French speaking a plus
