The project One Health Regional Network for the Horn of Africa (HORN) is a collaborative research and training programme between the University of Nairobi and University of Liverpool, implemented by the Department of Public Health Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the School of Public Health, University of Nairobi. The project addressed One Health, the concept that the health of people, animals and the environment are inextricably linked.
The position The project is recruiting two post-doctoral research associates in interests in understanding and improving human and animal health in Africa by making advances in the fields if inter-linkages of human, animal and ecosystems health. The successful candidate will be based in Kenya. The areas of research to be undertaken will be flexible but the following skills and backgrounds will be prioritized: Public Health; Microbiologist Specializing In Antimicrobial Resistance; Veterinary Epidemiologist; Livestock Economist; Health Economist; Anthropologist; Public Health Epidemiologist; Data Scientist; Vector Biolgist; And One Health Specialist.
