Job Specification
The duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in: -

• Verifying vouchers and committal documents in accordance with laid down rules and regulations; 
• Maintaining primary records such as cashbooks, ledgers, vote books and registers;
• Ensuring safe custody of Agency records and assets under him/her;
• Preparing budgets and financial reports;
• Receiving duly processed payments and receipt vouchers; 
• Balancing and reconciling cash books on daily basis; 
• Facilitating for withdrawal of cash for office use and ensuring safety of the same at all times; 
• Preparation of Bank reconciliations;
• Extracting and providing cash liquidity analysis; and
• Ensuring security of cheques and cheque books.

Person Specifications 
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business (Accounting option) from a recognized institution or any other relevant equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; 
• Passed Part III of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination;
• A minimum period of Three (3) years relevant work experience;
• Proficiency in computer applications;
• Demonstrated competence in work performance and results; and
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
