BackEnd and DevOps Software Engineer at Actserv

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Django Rest Framework (DRF) and Flask;
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic;
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code;
• Deploy APIs to cloud platforms;
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain up-time and performance;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications;
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and shared knowledge within the team;
• Document development processes, DevOps practices, and operational procedures;
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology products;
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile/web technologies;
• Performing other related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification in Software engineering, an added advantage.
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment.
• Proficiency in R programming and any JavaScript framework.
• Experience working with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks.
• Experience in Agile Development/ software life-cycle development.
• Preferred experience working with Linux-based OS is an added advantage.
