Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Prestige Bluestar Holdings Ltd

Job Overview:

• Prestige Bluestar Holdings Ltd is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, with in-depth knowledge of Kenyan taxes, payroll management, petty cash, bank reconciliation, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. This role requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) who is looking for a stable, long-term position within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks, including ledger entries and maintenance of financial records.

• Taxation and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all Kenyan tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate taxes.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate deductions for statutory obligations.

• Bank Reconciliation:

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

• Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure financial integrity and compliance.

• Administrative Support:

  • Assist in the preparation of payslips and ensure timely salary disbursement.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) qualification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with payroll management, petty cash handling, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
• Certificate of Good Conduct is required.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

• The CFO will be required to work from the office from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Remote work is expected on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
