    Company Driver

    • The Company Driver must assist our aviation company in Kenya with all transport-related duties. As a company driver, your responsibilities will include dropping off and picking up staff, collecting various packages, and maintaining a travel log to record work hours, travel time, and locations traveled to. Your role is essential in ensuring safe and efficient transportation while representing our organization professionally.

    Responsibilities

    Operate Company Vehicles:

    • Drive company vehicles, including cars, vans, to transport goods, materials, or personnel to various locations.
    • Safely load, unload, and secure cargo or passengers, following proper handling and safety procedures.

    Route Planning and Scheduling:

    • Plan routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize travel time, considering traffic conditions and delivery requirements.
    • Ensure timely arrivals and departures.

    Vehicle Maintenance and Inspections:

    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes, and report any issues or defects for repair.

    Vehicle Cleanliness and Organization:

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, both inside and outside, to present a professional image.
    • Keep the vehicle interior tidy and free from clutter.

    Adherence to Traffic Laws and Policies:

    • Follow traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving, including speed limits, seat belt usage, and cell phone usage.
    • Uphold safe driving practices at all times.

    Effective Communication and Coordination:

    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate transportation activities and address issues or delays.
    • Provide assistance to passengers, customers, or clients as needed during transportation.

    Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Handle delivery documents, invoices, or other paperwork accurately and promptly.
    • Maintain proper records of deliveries and pickups.

    Emergency Response:

    • Respond to emergency situations, such as accidents or breakdowns, following established procedures and protocols.
    • Ensure the safety of passengers and cargo during emergencies.

    Professional Conduct and Appearance:

    • Uphold professional conduct and appearance at all times, representing the company positively to clients, customers, and the public.
    • Dress appropriately and maintain a courteous demeanor.

    Stay Informed and Attend Training:

    • Stay updated on traffic regulations, road closures, and detours to plan alternative routes and avoid delays.
    • Attend training sessions and meetings as required to enhance driving skills, safety awareness, and job performance.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent education.
    • Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle(s) operated; commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required for certain vehicles or industries.
    • Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents in the past.
    • Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial or corporate environment.
    • Knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns.
    • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
    • Capable of solving minor technical problems en-route.

    Your role as a company driver is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our aviation company.
