Education

• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in architecture, civil engineering, urban and regional planning, sociology, development studies, economics or physical sciences relevant to urban planning and management.
• A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Work Experience

• A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management in the areas of human settlements is required
• Post-conflict experience is required.
• Work experience within UN or other international organizations is desirable
• Experience with durable solutions and/or urban resilience in a post-conflict context is desirable
• Three (3) years of experience at the international level is desirable
• 2 years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

Languages

• English and French are the working Languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required.
