Quality Assurance Executive at Reeds Africa Consult

Our client in the FMCG industry is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Executive based in Mombasa.

JOB PURPOSE;

The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching and identifying growth opportunities; Generating reports and giving presentations; Calibration of measuring machines and equipment; Root cause analysis of recurring quality issues; Development of in-house quality assurance procedures; Performing quarterly review of suppliers/vendors; Conducting both internal and external Audits; Ensuring regulatory compliance always; Customer complaint reduction

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

1. Ensuring that all products meet quality specifications as required by management
2. Develop staff with the right competencies through training to improve individual and departmental performance
3. Maintaining customer specifications by education of rejects and complaints
4. Planning and implementation of shift schedule
5. Identifying and closing supplier gaps through quality and conformity
6. Building customer trust in our products and protecting the brand name
7. Identify and initiating best measures for critical control points
8. Review and approval of product packaging artwork
9. Implementation of preventative actions through SOPs and checklists
10. Conducting HACCP trainings

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;

1. Diploma graduate with min 4years experience in Quality Assurance and Control or related field
2. Good Analytical skills
3. Proficient in the use of MS Office
4. ISO 9001:2015 -QMS, Auditing skills is an added advantage
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Good report writing skills
7. Quick accurate judgement when faced with multiple solution seeking challenges
8. Inductive and deductive thinking
9. Team player
