    Resource Mobilization and Donor Relations Specialist

    Job Purpose:

    Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Representative or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the Resource Mobilization and Donor Relations Specialist will perform the following tasks: 

    Donor Relations and Engagement:

    • Develop comprehensive annual and ad hoc donor engagement strategies, setting clear milestones and closely monitoring outcomes.
    • Conduct intelligence gathering to inform donor engagement strategies.
    • Organize, prepare and actively participate in donor meetings.
    • Engage in continuous relationship building with donors through regular meetings, prompt responses to information requests, and dissemination of key information products, including situation reports and advocacy briefs.
    • Enhance donor understanding of UNFPA’s mandate and interventions in Sudan.
    • Maintain up-to-date donor mailing lists and contact information.
    • Liaise with the UNFPA Brussels Office, Humanitarian Response Division, and External Relations Division for strategic donor engagement and reporting.
    • Support the development and distribution of emergency situation reports and humanitarian updates to the donor community.

    Proposal Development Management and Resource Mobilization Tracking:

    • Manage proposal submissions, ensuring alignment with donor expectations and requirements.
    • Coordinate inputs from technical units to produce cohesive, high-quality proposals.
    • Develop and maintain a Resource Mobilization Tracking Tool.

    Donor Reporting Management:

    • Manage the donor reporting process, ensuring timely origination, review and clearance of narrative reports.
    • Compile and conduct quality control of all donor reports in collaboration with technical units, field offices, and cluster coordinators.
    • Develop and maintain a Reports Tracking Tool to systematically update and share information on donor reporting requirements, keeping section heads and field offices informed.

    Qualifications and Experience: 

    Education:  

    • Advanced University degree in social science, international relations, or communication, Law, or other related areas.

    Knowledge and Experience: 

    • Five years of relevant experience at the national or international level or with international exposure. 
    • Experience within donor organizations reporting is an asset, as is experience working in other UN agencies or other international development organization; previous experience with United Nations operational agencies is an added value.
