    PATH is currently recruiting for a HR Director. HR Directors at PATH work in a coordinated effort to design and implement PATH’s people strategy and facilitate the delivery of innovative HR practices. These roles advance PATH’s mission through effective partnering with leaders and staff and leveraging HR expertise to influence business decisions in their regions. This HR Director role will report to the Chief People and Diversity Officer, and will support PATH teams in Africa. The HR team in Africa is distributed group of highly skilled HR specialists which support PATH teams across the entire Africa region. The HR Director is a member of the Global HR leadership team and member of PATH Africa Leadership Team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Accountable to develop, oversee and integrate people, culture and diversity, equity and inclusion strategies and practices that support organizational priorities.
    • Serve as SME for multiple HR disciplines (may include talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, global mobility, employee relations, compliance, learning, development and organizational design).
    • Accountable to enable the organization to attract, develop and retain the right talents to sustain PATH Strategies in the region.
    • Co-lead to build a shared understanding and commitment to making PATH more diverse, equitable and inclusive in the region.
    • Use data, analytics and leadership to inform decisions and influence leaders across PATH.
    • Consults with employees and managers on employee relations issues and facilitates appropriate procedure is followed in alignment with organizational standards and local labor law
    • Provides consultation to Africa leadership team on talent development, performance management, employee relations and labor law compliance.
    • Manages the Africa HR leadership and oversee work in multiple countries
    • Implements and reinforces PATH risk and compliance strategy and practices.
    • Ensures that hiring and employment practices follow organizational and local standards
    • Recommends training on topics ranging from HR policies and procedures to professional and leadership skill development
    • Co-create a culture where feedback, open and honest communication is expected and rewarded

    Required Experience

    • College degree plus minimum of ten years’ HR work experience.
    • A track record of bringing a solution-oriented approach to working with clients to address the wide range of challenges required in a HRBP role including talent management, leadership and employee coaching, employee relations and training and development
    • Ability to collaborate and partner with stakeholders and partners to identify priorities and cocreate solutions to HR related issues.
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage the uniquely differentiated HR role while working effectively in a client team environment
    • Demonstrated effectiveness working efficiently, productively, and with urgency in a fast-paced environment
    • Proven group facilitation skills
    • Cultural agility
    • Ability to move initiatives forward and communicate effectively while managing multiple constituencies
    • Ability to write professional policies and procedures in English and French.

    The Gavi Covid-19 Delivery support project is looking forward to hiring a temporary Finance associate. The Gavi COVID-19 vaccines Delivery Support (CDS) Funding aims to address urgent gaps impacting roll-out and scale up of COVID-19 vaccines received through the COVAX Facility. The temporary Finance Associate will be responsible for day-to-day processing of transactions in compliance with PATH Kenya’s internal policies and ensure timely financial processing and reporting of activity costs, while maintaining high standards of stewardship and accountability

    We seek to recruit a Finance Associate on a temporary basis who will be responsible for day-to-day processing of transactions in compliance with PATH Kenya’s internal policies and ensure timely financial processing and reporting of activity costs, while maintaining high standards of stewardship and accountability.

    The Finance Associate will be based in Nairobi.

    Specific duties and responsibilities include:

    • Manage petty cash disbursements as assigned.
    • Assist in Inventory and commodity tracking management.
    • Perform monthly and ad hoc monthly bank reconciliations.
    • Maintain updated records of all the office financial transactions.
    • Reconcile all supplies statements to PATH’s records and update the Finance Officer of any discrepancies.
    • Make copies/scans of all finance documents and file in sequence.
    • Assist in tracking expenses and accuracy for services rendered on account and ensure they are within agreed limits.
    • Work closely with program staff during trainings and meetings to make payments and check accuracy of details given.
    • Check the accuracy of the receipts and vouchers presented to back-up expenses for completeness of the support documents.
    • Check validity of expenses and receipts presented for payment with respect to reasonability, allowability and allocability basis.
    • Prepare and ensure proper coding on all vouchers prepared by staff for validity and advise necessary adjustments to originator.
    • Ensure that all invoices received from vendors are processed in an orderly manner and duly supported by proper documentation.
    • Liaise with the Finance Officer to ensure that expenses recurring in nature are processed and paid in time e.g. telephone, internet, rent and security.
    • Prepare tax exemption documents (DA1 forms), submit to donor and follow up with vendors for reimbursement when approved DA1 forms are received from donor.

    Required Experience

    • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
    • Professional Accountancy training CPA or ACCA,
    • A minimum of 3 years relevant progressive experience preferable in a busy NGO set up.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • High numeracy, sound technical skills and analytical approach to work.
    • Problem-solving skills and initiative.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
    • Proficiency in Ms. Office applications especially word and excel.
    • Hands on experience in Business World will be an added advantage.
