    Accounts Assistant

    Job Summary

    • To ensure that all the financial records and reports are correct, current and ready for use in decision making in the financial department. To provide support to the daily operations of the company.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitoring and communication of daily expenses.
    • Petty cash payments, reporting and management.
    • Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct and properly logged within the accounting software.
    • Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
    • Recording and filing cash transactions.
    • Invoice processing, submission and filling of completed work completion documents
    • Participation in pricing of various commercial proposals and quotes in line with the estimations department.
    • Processing expense requests for the accountant to approve.
    • Accounts receivable and payables follow up and monthly reporting
    • Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers on payments.
    • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
    • Statutory reporting and remittances.
    • General book keeping practices.
    • Any other related tasks assigned by the manager

    Safety

    • Participating in and offering tool box talks.
    • Participation in review and implementation of office safety Emergency response plan
    •  Participation in implementation of incident and accident reporting

    Required Qualifications (academic degree & experience)

    • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be a CPA Intermediate level or higher
    • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work  independently and cooperatively with team members.
    • Strong oral/written communication skills and ability to communicate at multiple levels in the organization
    • Excellent financial skills
    • Proficiency in Online / Desktop Accounting Software
    • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Applications especially excel
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
    • Ability to work hands-on, independently, and within team.
    •  Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Unquestionable integrity.

    Environmental Health and Safety Officer

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health ACT (OSHA).
    • Develop for implementation, policies and programs to proactively promote safe working environment that complies with regulatory agencies and client safety standards.
    • Monitor and ensure all employees, contractors and visitors comply with safety guidelines at the client site.
    • Oversee safety operations on site and prepare periodical reports.
    • Ensure continuous improvement of Health and Safety standards in terms of the work environment for employees and contractors.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and other requirements including annual workplace registration and annual health and safety audits.
    • Coordination of investigation of all accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, property damage or loss, first aid cases and medical treatment cases reported in all company facilities and the identification of corrective and/ or preventative action to prevent a recurrence.
    • Advise clients on safety compliance concerns and preventative measures.
    • Performs safety surveys, inspections, audits and prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been put in place.
    • Conduct daily toolbox meetings for staff on site.
    • Spearhead Health and safety committee meetings and submit a report to management.
    • Arrange for safety inductions and medical examinations for new staff in all responsible sites.
    • Request for required PPEs for staff on-site and ensure PPE use compliance

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the Occupational Health and Safety in a manufacturing industry preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related studies.
    • Relevant certification/ accreditation in Occupational Safety and Health and NEBOSH.
    • Thorough knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, The Work Injuries Benefits Act, and subsidiary legislations.
    • Exhibit the ability to think practically and creatively to implement the best safety training in occupational safety requirements and OSHA guidelines.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Crisis management skills and high attention to detail
    • Effective communication, interpersonal, and team player skills.
    • Ability to maintain professional status and keep abreast of evolving trends in Safety through continuous professional development.

    Sales Person (Optical)

    KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their prescription needs and style preferences.
    • Perform accurate measurements of customers’ pupillary distance and ocular center to ensure proper lens placement in frames.
    • Process sales transactions, including handling cash, credit cards, and insurance billing, ensuring accuracy in all financial dealings.
    • Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and treatments to enhance their vision and eyewear durability.
    • Manage inventory, including receiving new stock, conducting stock counts, and organizing display areas to showcase the latest eyewear trends.
    • Coordinate appointments for eye examinations with the optometrist, ensuring a smooth flow of customers through the store.
    • Handle eyewear adjustments and minor repairs, such as tightening screws and replacing nose pads, to ensure customer satisfaction and comfort.
    • Participate in community outreach programs, such as vision screenings to promote eye health awareness and the store’s services

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Direct sales experience in Optics
    • Proven inside sales experience
    • Track record of over-achieving quota
    • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong listening and presentation skills
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
    • Degree or equivalent in Business Course
    • Proficient with MS Office
