    Communication Assistant G5 (UN Kenya Common Roster - Multiple Positions & Duty Stations)

    Responsibilities

    Main Duties:

    • To perform general administrative and some specialized communications processes that support the creation of communications content and the delivery of communications services aimed at maintaining and enhancing organization’s visibility and reputation and supporting fundraising activities.
    • Provide coordination, administrative and specialized services, to support staff in the development, preparation and execution of communications campaigns for target audiences.
    • Monitor and coordinate materials, schedules, facilities and clearances, and provide support for special events, and video/film, photographic and radio projects.
    • Conduct clearly defined research and prepare reports and provide data that enables informed decision-making.

    Driver G3 (UN Kenya Common Roster - Multiple Positions & Duty Stations)

    Responsibilities

    Main Duties:

    Within limits of delegated authority and depending on location, a Driver at this level may be responsible for the following duties:

    • Drives vehicles safely for the transport of authorised personnel and, in the case of Peacekeeping missions, for the transport of general cargo goods and or specialized hazardous good vehicles.  
    • Makes regular deliveries of parcels, documents, etc., between the UN office and other offices and institutions, e.g. Ministries, Embassies, Permanent Missions, etc.
    • Makes minor purchases and collect urgent purchases from local suppliers as requested.
    • Collect goods from the customs with due regard to customs regulations and formalities. May make or collect payment for goods.

    Senior Human Resources Assistant G7 (UN Kenya Common Roster - Multiple Positions & Duty Stations)

    Responsibilities

    Within delegated authority, the Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

    Recruitment and placement

    • Participates in the selection of candidates for secretarial, clerical and related categories positions, including evaluating and screening applications of such candidates, preparing profiles of candidates, and conducting preliminary interviews, and conducting roster searches for vacancies and identifying short-list of candidates.

    Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant, G5 (UN Kenya Common Roster - Multiple Positions & Duty Stations)

    Responsibilities

    The Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant will perform the following:

    Main Duties (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

    • Support programme and project managers in designing and implementation of the Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks and plans, in line with Programme and Operations Policies and Procedures with appropriate tracking tools.
    • Provide input to the preparation of annual work plans and budgets and participate in defining targets and indicators to ensure consistency with approved country programme and project documents.

    Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: -

    • Meeting and directing clients
