    Unit Linked Sales Manager

    We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Unit Linked Sales Manager within Jubilee Life Insurance Limited. The position holder will report to the General Manager – Retail Life and Pensions and will be based at Head Office in Nairobi.

    Role Purpose

    The Unit Linked Sales Manager is responsible for delivering the unit linked products new business as per the set budgets, meeting revenue budget, engagement with stakeholders to ensure the seamless running of the backend / frontend operations for unit linked products and ensuring that the distribution channel is well equipped and adequately trained to sell the Unit Linked products.

    Security Engineer

    We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Security Engineer. The position holder will report to the IT Security Manager and will be based at the Head office in Nairobi.

    Role Purpose

    Responsible for recommending, implementing, and monitoring technology related security procedures to secure the company’s Technology and Information Systems. The role holder will also administer all security technologies and functions that include but not limited to Cloud security, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication processes, content filtering systems, EDR, application interface security, incident response, infrastructure and applications security (including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and resolutions on all technical systems)

    Main Responsibilities

    1. Identify and implement industry leading best practice for Technology Security, and Security risk management
    2. Manage the implementation of Technology Security related tasks within existing & new projects.
    3. Recommend policies to secure and protect the infrastructure while investigating and mitigating any breaches.

    Data Protection Officer

    We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Data Protection Officer. The position holder will report to the Regional Compliance Manager and will be based at the Head office in Nairobi.

    Role Purpose

    The purpose of this role is to establish, implement and enforce a robust Data Protection and compliance framework and systems (policies, processes, and tools) so as to ensure that Jubilee Insurance companies are compliant with the Data Protection Act and Regulations.

    Main Responsibilities

    1. Establishing the Data Protection Act Governance, regulatory framework and implementation plan which shall include development of the various required statements and policies.
    2. Guiding the various Companies, their departments, and all support functions on implementation of Data Protection Act 2019 requirements and supporting them to ensure compliance with the Act.
    3. Regularly training of all internal stakeholders involved in data collection/processing, updating the training as well as conducting specific trainings for specific processing requirements.
    4. Conducting audits to ensure compliance, accountability and address potential issues proactively.
    5. Serving as the Data Protection Officer and point of contact between the Companies, the Data Commissioner and other Regulatory Authorities and co-operating with them during inspections by answering any complaints or queries raised with regards to Data Protection.
    6. Monitoring performance and adherence to the requirements of the regulation while providing advice on the data protection impact assessment.
    7. Creating and maintaining a register on comprehensive records of all data processing activities conducted by the company, including the purposes of all processing activities, which must be made public on request.
    8. Interfacing with data controllers, data processors and data subjects to inform them about the use of data, the data protection rights, obligations, responsibilities, measures the companies and support functions have put in place to protect personal and/or sensitive information and raise awareness on all of the above.
    9. Advising and recommending to the institutions/support functions and their employees on the interpretation and/or application of the Data Protection Act or any other written law on data privacy.
    10. Handling queries or complaints internally or externally regarding data confidentiality and use.
    11. Providing status updates to the Head of Compliance, Senior and Middle Management on a regular basis (at least monthly) and drawing immediate attention to any failure to comply with the applicable data protection
    12. requirements.
    13. Data Protection Regulations: Developing together with the business and support functions, carrying out impact assessments, data protection policies, guidelines, and processes to ensure that compliance is consistent and in line with the Data Protection Act.
    14. Creating an Information Base: Guide and support on the creation of an information base on Data Protection and any other elements which may be helpful to the controllers and the staff of the organization.
    15. Relationship Building: Build a stable professional relationship with data controllers providing advice where necessary and investing time and efforts in showing the benefits of data protection compliance.
    16. Support the business in preparation of digital and other privacy statements as may be required for the institutions and supporting functions and ensure processes are put in place for the institutions/support functions to collect consents from the relevant data subjects and partners, have relevant privacy statements provided on all company forms and/or literature, websites and other communication or data collection mediums.
    17. Preparing an annual work programme at the beginning of each year for the upcoming year for the sign off by the institution.
    18. Networking with other Data Protection Officers to share information and keep up with information and emerging trends around data protection as well as following up on change in laws and make recommendations on changes required.

    Key Competencies

    1. Expertise in data protection law and practice
    2. A complete understanding of the company’s IT infrastructure, technology, technical and organizational structure.
    3. Experience and knowledge of the organization’s data processing operations and the level of data protection required for what is processed.
    4. Should be both reliable and independent, with no prior commitments that would interfere with the monitoring responsibilities of the Data Protection Officer.
    5. Should have excellent management skills and be able to interface easily with both internal staff at all levels and outside authorities.
    6. Personal skills: integrity, initiative, organization, perseverance, discretion, ability to assert himself/herself in difficult circumstances, interest in data protection and motivation to be a Data Protection Officer.
    7. Interpersonal skills: Communication, Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor of Laws or any other related field
    2. Para Legal Diploma from Kenya School of Law
    3. Privacy Professional Certifications provided by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Professional/Information Technology (CIPP/IT).

    Relevant Experience

    Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a mid-management level in a compliance/audits environment within the financial services industry preferably in the insurance or banking industry.

    Cloud Systems Engineer

    We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Cloud Systems Engineer. The position holder will report directly to the Head of Cloud Services and indirectly to the Group Chief Information Officer and will be based at the Head office in Nairobi.

    Role Purpose

    The role holder will primarily oversee the management and operations of cloud operating systems infrastructure and collaboration within the organization. The role holder should also be able to address operational systems issues including file and share permissions, user accounts and collaboration which includes email services & video collaboration.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Administer organization’s video collaboration & allocation of resources according to the change management policy.
    • Manage Call Manager / IPT, SIP & Call Billing (Teleman).
    • Manage and support Contact Center technology and systems (Ameyo) both on premise and on cloud
    • Create MS PowerShell scripts, especially to be used with AD and MS Exchange.
    • Implement and manage Exchange Online and/or Office 365 infrastructure for the organization.
    • Administer Veritas Enterprise Vault, Symantec Mail Getaway Security.
    • Manage & support video conferencing services (Zoom/Teams & Logitech and Polycom).
    • Implement and manage RDS and related Microsoft architecture on different devices.
    • Administer mobile client configuration and access rights.
    • Ensure local and Domain Group Policy availability and functionality
    • To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the head of department.

    Functional Skills

    • Azure cloud operations
    • Hardware and OS Knowledge in Microsoft Server, Sun-Oracle server, Oracle Intel VM, Unix
    • Experience in hardware /software/ networking inventory management
    • Understanding of the dependencies of various platforms and their needs
    • Experience with hybrid environments, including on-premises Microsoft Exchange and Office 365
    • Experience with back up and recovering Microsoft Exchange servers and databases. Solid proficiency with Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Retention, Load Balancers and Archive Policies.
    • Experience working with Microsoft Premier Support, FIM, ADFS, AD Connect, Exchange Hybrid

    Qualifications

    1. Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized University
    2. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE & MCSA).
    3. Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
    4. Cisco CCNP voice
    5. MS Windows Server 200x/201x - (Administration, Clustering, IIS, DHCP, DNS/WINS, DFS, Group Policy, etc.).
    6. Active Directory 2008 and up - (manipulation including, but not limited to, user creation, password, group/maintenance, and other various day to day activities in cloud and hybrid environments.
    7. Office 365 – (manipulation including, but not limited to, mailbox/contacts/distribution group maintenance as well as database maintenance.)

    Relevant Experience

    Minimum of 4 years in experience networking, hardware and system software
