    Inclusive Quality Education (IQE) Network Coordinator

    The Opportunity 

    Plan International’s global strategy: All Girls Standing Strong (2022-2027) prioritises prioritises Inclusive Quality Education (IQE) as one of its key thematic Areas of Global Distinctiveness (AoGDs). Within our Inclusive Quality Education Hub we focus on developing programme and influencing models and guidance for country level work, tools and guidance, capacity-strengthening initiatives as well as undertaking advocacy on inclusive quality education for children and youth in all their diversity and generating research and evidence which supports Plan’s gender-transformative approach. 

    In this role as the IQE Network Coordinator you will support the work of the IQE Hub to effectively coordinate and administer the global Education networks and activities, including supporting the Networks in organising their meeting and other activities as needed.  

    You will be responsible for knowledge management within the IQE Hub and wider network, which includes documenting best practice, tracking and managing service requests and supporting the Hub with key administrative responsibilities including reporting, data storage/ management and workplan and budget coordination.  

    You will enable the effective use of online platforms and digital tools for the purpose of learning, sharing, information and membership management of the networks. The role will also provide project management support and leadership on special initiatives and bespoke pieces of work related to the learning and development priorities of the IQE Hub. 

    About You 

    • Demonstrable experience after having worked in or studied one or more of the following; human rights, child rights, education and/or gender studies 
    • Strong digital skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office package and knowledge of Sharepoint  
    • Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills across multiple time zones are essential qualities and the ability to analyse, collate, structure and condense complex technical content into accessible, practical messages and tools is critical. 
    • Good understanding of major concepts and trends in human rights, education and/or gender equality. Experience working on development / knowledge management at the country or community level in the global south is preferred 
    • Fluent written and spoken English is essential. The ability to effectively communicate in other languages such as French or Spanish would be highly advantageous.

    Location: The location of this role can be flexible where Plan International has an office* that can employ on behalf of the Global Hub and you have the pre-existing right to work and live. 

    Type of Role: Fixed term contract until end June 2023 with possibility of extension 

    Salary:  We will be happy to disclose the salary and applicable benefits to applicants as part of this process, however, please kindly note that this will vary according to the location of the appointed candidate and therefore it is not possible to include full details here. As an indication if this role was based in the Global Hub office in the UK the salary would be circa £33000 per annum

    Deployable Child Protection in Emergencies Specialist

    About You

    As deployable CPiE specialist, you will travel 70% per year to emergencies globally. During a deployment you provide oversight and leadership to Plan International's child protection response. You will be responsible for assessment, response analysis, design, coordination, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of child protection in emergency programmes as part of our broader emergency response. You will ensure that our intervention meets the minimum standards for child protection and gender-based violence in emergencies.

    We are seeking CPiE specialists with a minimum of five years of work experience in humanitarian settings with progressively responsible roles in designing, leading and/or coordinating CPiE responses. We are specifically looking for candidates with expertise in approaches to support child survivors of sexual- and gender-based violence (SGBV), mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), and candidates with strong team management and capacity strengthening experience. Ideally you will be proficient in English and one of the following languages: French, Spanish or Arabic. You will be committed to ensuring safeguarding and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH) is core to our ways of working.
